Telegram policy violated privacy 🔏 as the platform mentions that any government with "high democracy index" can request information of any telegram account and telegram shall comply with IP address of the username.
The following thread from Kashmir deals with such a request from telegram. Forget a similar incident was reported by the Dutch.

Andrew Torba's latest move has some people up in arms towards him. However on the subject of storage and bandwidth he is undeniably correct on this.
The place where he runs afoul is his timing. He would have been better served if he had done this Q1 of 2023 just after the midterms instead of now.
The one thing I can safely make a good guess on is that social media companies like X, Facebook, Instagram, etc. They are taking tax money to stay running. Gab offers a good case as to the expense of a social media platform, without subsidy.
