The sBTC second cap is launching on February 25, as announced by Bitcoin L2 Labs.

It can bring an additional 2,000 BTC into the Stacks ecosystem, expanding Bitcoin liquidity and DeFi opportunities.

This marks a new step towards activating the Bitcoin economy.
