Tomorrow's builder session will be featuring back-to-back DeFi projects. The first one is Taral, which eliminates the friction, costs, and time normally associated with trade finance. Second is the crowd's favorite Arkadiko, whose progress we will check after they closed their Regtest. We will discuss the various learnings and improvements they made on the product. This is also the time to ask how we as a community can help in their upcoming Mainnet launch in October.

See you builders on what they call "DeFi Summer" but of course on Bitcoin.

Agenda:
7:00 - 7:05 - Community check-in
7:05 - 7:20 - Taral
7:20 - 7:35 - Arkadiko
7:35 - 8:00 - Open Discussion

What’s up out there, Clarity Connoisseurs?? 🖥

NEW BLOG POST ALERT, straight from ya boy. In this new piece titled Five Useful Clarity Keywords and Functions, I give an overview of a few essential snippets of code for developing smart contracts on Stacks. It might be a bit basic if you’re already experienced with Clarity and have been tinkering with us for a while, but the article should be a nice, quick overview for beginners of some fundamental mechanisms of the language. All the usual suspects are here: tx-sender, define-map, impl-trait, and more.

Six months into Stacks 2.0 mainnet, and we’re truly seeing the smart contract dev community explode. Hopefully blog posts like this can convince some curious blockchain devs to dip their toe in the Clarity swimming pool! 🏊

Hello out there all you Cryptopunks, Bored Apes, Meebits, Beeples, Cryptokitties, and TopShots! 🖼

The wait is finally over, because it’s time for you to build your NFT on Stacks. Patrick Gray, Documentation Lead at Hiro, just dropped a bombshell blog post overviewing the latest addition to the Clarity onboarding experience. There is a brand new tutorial in the documentation, and it is totally focused on building a non-fungible token using Clarity. It deep dives on the SIP-009 trait that makes a contract NFT compliant, and even shares some example code that makes it stupid simple to spin up your own. 🖌

There are so many projects in the Stacks ecosystem innovating with NFTs. ThisIsNumberOne, Boomboxes, rcrdshp, and many more. We’re really thrilled about having an option for beginners to dive into the world of NFTs, and cannot wait to see custom non-fungible smart contracts popping up in the explorer.

UX can sometimes be an ambiguous buzzword, especially in blockchain! But the UserX team at Hiro literally only has a goal: improving the experience of Stacks users. They’ve been laser focused on designing, restructuring, improving, and incorporating feedback into the suite of Hiro products that developers use to make Web 3 magic happen. 🧙

This July, they certainly didn’t kick their feet up by a swimming pool. Instead, they kicked it into high gear! They held an internal hackathon that drastically increased test coverage, implemented microblocks into the explorer and wallets, prepared Ledger wallet updates, and reimagined onboarding flow.

We’re beginning to see the Stacks dapp ecosystem explode, and products like the web wallet or explorer giver users and devs alike the power to interact with the blockchain in fun and exciting ways. The UserX Team at Hiro is dedicated to streamlining how users join our community and explore Stacks.

You can learn all about the crazy cool projects the UserX team is working on in their latest July recap!
