PRODUCTION CRISIS: France & Germany Sound Warning over Absent Supplies (Bloomberg report)

France has suffered its steepest manufacturing decline since covid lockdowns were implemented last year, with Germany also feeling the impact after business activity fell to an 8-month low.

Gauges for factory orders in both countries deteriorated in October, with some goods producers mentioning that “severe delays” on inputs were responsible for contracts being canceled or postponed. France held up slightly better overall as tourism was boosted by looser travel restrictions.

The blows to the two EU powers come days before European Central Bank officials gather to assess the bloc’s economy.

Blockchain analysis company Elliptic traced how DarkSide’s ransomed crypto has flowed through different wallets shrinking from 107.8 BTC to 38.1 BTC - suggesting 69.7 BTC already converted into fiat currencies.
