France has suffered its steepest manufacturing decline since covid lockdowns were implemented last year, with Germany also feeling the impact after business activity fell to an 8-month low.
Gauges for factory orders in both countries deteriorated in October, with some goods producers mentioning that βsevere delaysβ on inputs were responsible for contracts being canceled or postponed. France held up slightly better overall as tourism was boosted by looser travel restrictions.

Operations using multiple new wallets have seen almost $7MN bitcoin over the last 24 hours, in what appears to be a huge money-laundering scheme.
The DarkSide network of hackers has extorted tens of millions from dozens of victims - the most infamous hit in recent times being the US Colonial Pipeline.
Blockchain analysis company Elliptic traced how DarkSideβs ransomed crypto has flowed through different wallets shrinking from 107.8 BTC to 38.1 BTC - suggesting 69.7 BTC already converted into fiat currencies.
