Hey everyone. Thanks for being patient as we clarify what’s ahead!
This weekend we will be having workshops and skill-shares for those who are joining us for our upcoming mobilisation. Come to get briefed, share lunch and meet up with others.
Be mindful that this place will be known to police. We will have safety and wellbeing protocols in place, but do whatever else you need to keep you and your mates as safe as possible.
See you soon 🔥

Hey everyone, you might’ve heard that the police have been trying to steal phones. This is a quick message on how you can keep your device safe while resisting climate destruction this week.
We will be communicating important action information over Telegram, so its best to bring your phone to the actions.
If you do bring it, make sure you have a good password on it, delete any information you want to keep private, add a passcode to your telegram app and make sure your notification can’t be read on the lock screen!
Tips for during the protest:
Film on a locked screen, don’t let cops read your messages, use encrypted messaging apps, photograph badge numbers when you think its necessary.
Be aware of your surrounding… people, cops, cars etc
It’s time to resist Australia’s climate destruction. Let’s do this.

TOMORROW WE MOBILISE!
Join us in disrupting the system that has led us towards climate collapse. Stand in solidarity in Sydney’s CBD tomorrow!
ACTION LOCATION:
Meet Corner of Elizabeth and Park St between Bathurst and Park st (south end of Hyde park)
ACTION TIME: 8am
More details:
We will be meeting and then moving through the city to cause disruption. This won't be like a regular rally with speeches and a lot of time standing around - we will be meeting at 8am sharp and then moving quickly from there.
Depending on police tactics you may be required to run or disperse depending on your abilities. Be prepared to walk on roads and stop cars from passing.
It's important for the safety of all that we do not escalate or react aggressivly to police. The police will try to make us escalate, to enable them to use violence and manipulate the public to think it's acceptable and appropriate. The police will try to find any way to delegitmise us so always remain de-escalatory. If you see people in the crowd yelling abuse, try to calm them down and remove them from the situation. The focus of this protest is not the police. The reason we are taking to the streets is to resist the climate destruction perpetrated by the entire system of Australia. The best way to challenge the system is with coordinated, organised and targeted disruption. If we remain calm, assertive and focused we will have a better chance to succeed.
WHAT TO BRING:
- a COVID mask/fabric face mask
- your phone with telegram channel**
- a hat
- safety eyewear/goggles
- a collapsible umbrella
- 1 litre water bottle
- snacks
- an Opal card
- your ID
- a map of the city
- cash
**please ensure your notifications are turned off and that your phone requires a password to be opened
WHAT TO WEAR:
- please wear casual clothes/street wear
- comfortable shoes
- a backpack
WHAT NOT TO WEAR: (safety for pepper spray)
- make up or oily sunscreen
- contact lenses
COMMUNICATIONS:
If you are attending the action please join this separate Telegram channel which will be used to communicate important information before, during and after each protest this week.

POLICE MONITORING:
It is important to hold the police accountable and have the evidence to do so.
Filming police:
- Film in landscape (sideways)
- Hold phone close to you to keep steady (preferably towards your chest height)
- Upload the footage as soon as possible via the QR scanner (link available in other places upon request)
LEGAL INFORMATION:
- Remain silent or say “NO COMMENT” to all police questions and interviews.
- If under arrest, you are only required to give your name and address.
- Do not unlock your phone for the police. There is no extra charge if you don’t.
- Use a password and ensure no notifications show up on the home screen.
- For yours and others safety, always aim to de-escalate the situation.
- If you are denied or don’t sign bail and end up in a magistrate hearing, the legal advice is that you do not initially plead and seek a ‘2-week adjournment to seek legal advice.’ Police have been overcharging people and pleading guilty to these charges can have severe consequences for the individual and the rest of the group.
- Do not speak about other people’s names or actions in the watch house, assume everything will be recorded.
- Do not sign ‘Statement of Facts’. Your release is not contingent on signing this form.
Stay safe, together we can resist climate destruction.

Thank you to all those who have joined us on the streets the last two days. It’s been a lot, we hope everyone is okay. We are all doing important work to build a movement that is proportionate to the risk Australian and it’s institution pose to our life support systems. The blocking of important action from Australia and its allies is propelling us toward intensifying disasters.
We have made the call for tomorrow to be a day off. We want people to have a chance to rest, regroup and support one another as well as connect with those who share our common purpose of resisting climate destruction. If you would like to meet up with others tomorrow to eat, give or get support please message @HugoCorbet
Rest well and stay vigilant.

Blockade Australia: Resist Climate Inaction pinned «WE GO AGAIN Today we took to the streets and stood against repression and the destruction of the climate. Join us tomorrow in disrupting the system that has led us towards climate collapse. Stand in solidarity in Sydney’s CBD tomorrow! ACTION LOCATION:…»
We thank you all for joining this online space that feeds our resistance to Australia’s system that fuels climate destruction.
A special thank you to those who gathered with us on the streets for Monday and Tuesdays disruptions.
We have endured extreme state repression. It has challenged our plans and further exposed what Australia will do to protect its own interest. We are tired but not broken, and moved by all the solidarity and support.
We have made the hard choice to end the mobilisation and wait until next time when we are bigger and stronger. We call on people to continue to take disruptive climate action in any way they can.
The climate crisis threatens all life on earth. We are rising up against powerful structures that will always act to protect themselves. But we are resilient, adaptable and reflective and the urgency is too great to shrink small.
We know the resistance will grow, and we hope you stay with us.
Speak to your friends, family and communities and join our upcoming info nights and events.

Blockade Australia Info Sessions!!!
Come along to hear about how you can #BlockadeAustralia by getting involved locally in the ongoing resistance.
Recent actions from the Newcastle Coal Port, to Port Botany and now the across Sydney are showing what’s possible when an organised resistance causes sustained material disruption to Australia - the rigged, corporate machine that is driving climate and social collapse. The immense police and government response has validated the importance of targetting the system with these forms of action.
This is just the beginning, more people are more determined than ever to be a part of meaningful resistance.

FOOTAGE FINALLY RELEASED! CHECK THE LINK TO WATCH. WARNING: POLICE ATTEMPT TO RUN OVER AND DRIVE WITH PEOPLE ON VEHICLE.
From eleven people arrested in the raids that came before the Sydney mobilisation (June '22), the last two have been sentenced. Hannah and Clancy each received a six month conditional release order.
Of the 11 people arrested and charged for the botched colo raid, 4 had their charges completely withdrawn, two of whom went to prison for 3 weeks following their arrest. All charges of assault police, intimidate police and affray were dropped.
We thank the community for the ongoing support after the extreme repression we have faced from the state in the last twenty months since the raid. If you have the ability to donate to help fund the legal costs now and in the future.
