Shield Finance has decided to implement buyback-and-burn for its native token $SHLD🔥
As the DeFi industry grows, the market for insurance within DeFi increases proportionally.
Shield will connect users to insurance provider protocols like Nexus Mutual and Bridge Mutual to provide coverage against hacks and exploits of crypto systems.
Buyback-and-burn creates direct and tangible demand for the tokens being issued. It creates a direct connection between the success of a project and the price of its token.
How will this work?
Every time a user buys insurance through Shield Finance, he/she pays a fee. 50% of that fee will be used to buy and burn SHLD tokens, permanently reducing the supply. Shield will buy tokens at market value whatever the price may be. This creates huge financial incentives to holding SHLD but there are other benefits besides.
