Bill Syrjala:

' = "Long Covid" doctors are dropping the ball =
.
I have noticed that most doctors out there who claim to be experts at treating Long Covid ("LC"), are once again making the same patterns of mistakes as has been made all along with respect to Chronic Lyme, over the last 30+ years.
.
Below is a post that was made by a doctor who runs a LC forum. The mistake he is making, as explained in my reply to him -- LC is a multi-factorial complex/chronic disease.
.
What this means from a treatment perspective, is that you cannot ignore the various possible "terrain factors", that raise a person's susceptibility to getting LC in the first place. And then (if they do get LC), those terrain factors can then make the LC worse than it otherwise would have been.
.
These terrain factors include, but are not limited to:
.
-- mitochondrial impairment
-- mold illness/exposure
-- parasite overgrowth
-- metal toxicity
-- glyphosate intake
-- mineral deficiency
-- MCAS / histamine
-- EMF exposure
-- a state of excessive "cell danger response"
-- ... and dozens of others.
.
This is exactly the same pattern of mistakes that even (most) experienced LLMD's will make with respect to chronic Lyme. They throw a couple of allopathic treatments at it, ignore terrain factors, and hope for the best. Hope is not a strategy.
.
To be clear, there are some great doctors out there, who stay on top of all the variables and terrain factors (e.g. Shawn Bean for example). But the vast majority of doctor advice that I have seen so far, is incompetent.
.
In conclusion as always, caveat emptor, and make sure to "crowd source" any doctor's suggested LC treatment protocol, in the various forums on Facebook and elsewhere. And be wary of any forum run by a doctor. '

Don't be like me and fall for the Lyme label and that all your symptoms are caused by borrelia / bartonella / babesia / mycoplasma or insert whatever other co-infection is being named for the "cause." It's not. Heck I've spent a small fortune learning all these things in functional medicine classes and seminars!

How do I know? Because when you go back and look at all the original papers claiming to have found the causative agent for Lyme (a spiral shaped bacteria called Borrelia) they never did any such thing. What they did was merely count bacteria in rabbits and later in people.

Doing math is not finding causative factors. I go into great detail in this in my Lyme presentation in the TEOC Summit linked up in my profile. When you watch my presentation there is not a chance any honest person can continue to claim the label we call Lyme is CAUSED by microbes.

People will invariably ask - then what's causing my symptoms! My response is the same things that have always made people unwell. Namely, the treatments themselves can cause many of these symptoms especially the neurological ones. I've seen patients who have spent years on antibiotics only to beg their practitioner for MORE so they could temporarily get relief.

Sadly for many people they haven't understood that the treatments have been drastically harming them for years. Instead, they are told they are "re-activated" or have a "polymicrobial" problem or a "persister infection." These models are BASED ON NOTHING REAL or substantial AT ALL!

Other factors such as diet, lifestyle, beliefs, non-adapted stress, radiation, previous treatments, physical injuries, poisoning, impaired detoxification, envenoming in some cases are what contribute to these symptoms.

You know what gets people well LONG TERM - the same things that always have which I always talk about on here as well!

The Lyme Disease Lie

When it comes to feared diseases, Lyme Disease is up there with the worst of them. However, there is a major problem with the mainstream story. The "new" disease only appeared in the 1970s with ticks and Borrelia "germs" subsequently being blamed soon after.

It is time to expose the scientific papers that this whole thing is based upon and point out another fundamental problem: how can this 'disease' possibly be diagnosed?

This is an important topic because the marketing campaigns involving ticks as the cause of a big epidemic and even as potential "bio-weapons" have already begun...

EXPLAINING "LYME" ... I "ticked off" a Lyme group in Maine many years ago by suggesting etiology might be something other than a bacteria.  I was disruptive, admittedly, and asked (told) not to come back.  I sensed that the organization had another agenda (to ensure "Lyme" was identified as a pathogenic disease with an ICD code and covered by insurance).  Several members of my family in New England have been DXd with "Lyme."  This article.offers a refreshing perspective.

"DEMENTED DOGS IN MEXICO CITY in the early 2000s offered the first hints that inhaling polluted air can cause neurodegeneration. Neuroscientist Lilian Calderén-Garcidueñas, now at the University of Montana in Missoula, noticed that aging dogs who lived in particularly polluted areas of the city often became addled, growing disoriented and even losing the ability to recognize their owners. When the dogs died, Caldern-Garcidueas found that their brains had more extensive extracellular deposits of the protein amyloid β—the same “plaques” associated with Alzheimer's disease—than dogs in less polluted cities. She went on to find similarly elevated plaque levels in the brains of children and young adults from Mexico City who had died in accidents, as well as signs of inflammation such as hyperactive glia, the brain's immune cells. Calderén-Garcidueñas's studies didn't have rigorous controls, or account for the fact that amyloid β plaques don't necessarily signal dementia. But later work lent weight to her observations."

Glial cells are injured by lyme disease too, as well as by other neuro-inflammatory processes
My particular body needs ultra clean air
For my lung cells and for my neurological cells

"Chen's white matter findings are consistent with studies of cultured neurons, which show that exposure to PM2.5 can cause myelin—the fatty insulation that wraps around neuronal axons—to “peel up at the ends, like a Band-Aid,” Block says.
And now, the whole vast panoply of interconnected conditions — when we're talking about Lyme, we also end up having to talk about gosh a really long list of other things.

Mold illness is one of them, because mold organisms eat the insufficiently and fraudulently regulated building and manufacturing materials that are now known to be extensively toxic.

And then the mold organisms excrete... sometimes extremely virulent... biotoxins.
