Own your folder structure.

If AI creates your folders and writes all the code, the project grows fast, but you stop understanding how it flows.

So I start every project with a standard folder structure saved in an .md file, plus a package.json (or requirements.txt) for frontend and backend. Then it's just npm install or pip install -r requirements.txt and I'm ready.

AI writes code inside my structure, not the other way around.

Both can build a system that works. The difference is how long it keeps working.

A real developer sketches the tables first. They know every relation and every flow before writing a single line.
