After 45 years since the establishment of the Islamic Republic in Iran, the ruling authorities persistently and most clearly continue their efforts to suppress women and the idea of equality.
In the latest security-judicial actions, on the morning of March 28, 2024, more than 60 years of imprisonment were handed down to women's rights activists and political activists in Gilan province.

#Zohre_Dadras was sentenced to 9 years and six months in prison.
#Forugh_Samii_Nia, #Sara_Jahani, #Yasamin_Hashdari, #Shiva_Shahsia, #Negin_Rezaei, #Matin_Yazdani, #Azadeh_Chavoshiyan, and #Zahra_Dadras were each sentenced to 6 years and three months and 17 days in prison

#Jelveh_Javaheri and #Hooman_Taheri were also sentenced to 1 year in prison for propaganda against the system.

Issuing these mass sentences against individuals who, despite complete independence, struggle for equality and justice is an approval of the fundamental fear of the Islamic Republic system from women's struggles to break the institution of corruption.

These struggles have started since the pre-constitution and the union of the monarchy, province, and capital has not been able to create an obstacle in the way of its promotion and growth, but trying to shut down the voice of those who want equality will only result in further dishonouring the various branches of conservative power.
