The ultimate dream of any local governor or oligarch - join the game in Moscow, where you can lean your cheek against an ass of federal importance. It unleashes whole new horizons and scales of stealing and bribery. Now you could buy a mansion in London, not just some condo in Greece.
Sanctions and cancel culture left putin's elites frightened and numb. Their safe havens with stolen trophies got cracked or got inaccessible overnight - they can’t leave the country, but neither they planned to stay. Without putin’s hierarchy of the worst, those guys are nobody. Without asses of their higher-up, there would be no money and no political power left for them. As such, there is no point in negotiations with them. That’s why the Western coalition didn’t provide them with any exit strategy. They keep sanctions even on those who publicly advocated against the war and had to sell their assets in Russia for 3% of the market value. More "professional" and rich "elites" are located in Moscow, and losers like them find their job in less-developed provinces. The only dream of any regional oligarch or governor is to start licking top master's boots in Moscow. This may give them an opportunity to make more money (in illegal ways, of course), get a federal-level career and buy some property in Europe or any other developed country.
The sanctions and cancel culture has shocked putin's elites. Their safe harbors like accounts in swiss banks became inaccessible, some of them can't leave russia (and they had no plans to stay there). They are just nobodies to begin with. That's why the democratic countries don't negotiate with them and don't lift up their sanctions even if they've condemned the invasion of Ukraine. They know their price.
These scums must be overthrown by us, the citizens of former russian "federation" (more like an empire). They can be eliminated by guerillas or punished by the Hague tribunal, they are the past and their names will be forgotten. Росію вони ненавидять і сприймають як джерело грошей та ресурсів, не більше. Для особистого збагачення треба знищити екологію цілого регіону? Зрити священну для місцевих гору? Знищити унікальну архітектуру, культурну спадщину, з якою виросли кілька поколінь? Убивати людей? Улаштувати геноцид у сусідній країні? Нема питань. Чого тільки не зробиш заради вілли на озері Комо.
З регіональними елітами ситуація ще гірша. Це не еліта, і не регіональна, це випадкові затички у путінській вертикалі влади і грошей, які на своїх місцях не з власної волі. Це люди, які посіли друге місце на конкурсі мудаків, буквально. Елітна путінська еліта – у Москві. У регіонах – невдахи, які не вміють як годиться лизати начальству. Єдина мрія будь-якого регіонального олігарха чи якогось губернатора – почати лизати найвище начальство у Москві. Це відкриває доступ до крадівництва й вивезення грошей на федеральному рівні, тоді можна буде купити не квартиру в Греції, а особняк у Лондоні.
Санкції та культура усунення спричинили ступор у путінської еліти. Тихі гавані, де зберігалося накрадене, стали недоступними, виїхати з Росії не можна, а залишатися вони не планували. Поза путінською пірамідою лизання дупи начальства вони ніхто, порожнє місце без грошей і політичної ваги. Домовлятися з ними безглуздо. Саме тому "колективний Захід" не пропонує жодної стратегії виходу з-під санкцій, навіть для тих, хто "засудив війну, постраждав від режиму та отримав за свій бізнес лише 3%". "Західні партнери" чудово усвідомлюють, чого варті ці особи.
Це сміттєзвалище просто слід розчистити, і робити це доведеться нам, громадянам колишньої імперії. Можна їх усунути як легітимні цілі партизанів, за допомогою механізму люстрацій чи судів з денацифікації, байдуже. "Popular front" made the interview with a prominent part of the Russian resistance - an Anarcho-Communistic Combat Organization. They talked about the thoughts of all the partisans here: if not we, then who? If not now, then when?
There is a frequent complaint against Russian citizens: "You elected Putin president yourself!" It is true but there is a catch. Putin's electoral system extends far beyond the formal boundaries of election commissions and works not only during elections but constantly. Elections have long been turned into a ritual in which the "collective Putin" cannot lose. It works like this:
1. The regime dominates the information field, the election campaign of Putin's people is conducted all year round, even when no elections are coming up. Putin's own election campaign is ongoing since 1999. Since there are no independent media in the country, but only propaganda, the opinion is formed in the minds of ordinary people long before the elections that Putin's candidate, whoever he may be, is the ideal candidate.
2. Campaign budgets of candidates pushed by the government are several times higher than the budgets of all other participants.
3. Putin's regime is in total control of electoral commissions, police, investigative bodies, and courts, which makes it possible to use the full severity of the law against the opposition, for the slightest or even imaginary violation, while candidates from the government are spared.
4. An opposition candidate may participate in elections in two ways. The first is to run for the party that is already present in parliament. The regime can force parliamentary parties to withdraw any candidate from the elections since it controls the funding of those parties (they receive it from the state budget).
5. The second method for the opposition candidate would be to collect the signatures of voters for his nomination. Signatures are checked by electoral commissions, which are completely controlled by the regime, so any extra dot or a weirdly written letter justifies removing a candidate from the elections. The Commission may, at its discretion, declare part of the collected signatures invalid without giving any reasons at all. A "correct" candidate who is pleasing to the regime can hand over blank sheets of paper instead of signature sheets and will be registered for the elections.
6. To create the appearance of competition, the regime admits "technical" candidates who do not campaign and are not known to anyone. Or real, but "safe" opposition, whose chances of victory are made sure by the stare to be zero.
7. To create the appearance of mass voter turnout and legitimize the results, the regime forces state and municipal institutions to send their employees to polling places and then report their votes.
8. On election day people see a couple of unknown candidates on their ballot and one ideal, the same one that the propaganda advertised all year round, so they vote for him.
And so it goes from year to year. As a result, there is only a semblance of democratic elections in Russia, with Putin and his minions reelecting themselves. It seems to the whole world that the regime won the elections, the majority of Russians think so, the opposition understands what is happening, but is powerless (the regime fully controls the siloviki, the investigation, and the courts), and no one knows what the result would've been in fair elections.

Who is Ruslan Zinin?
On September 26, 2022, Ruslan Zinin protested against the mobilization by opening fire at the military registration and enlistment office in the city of Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk Region. Ruslan wounded the head of the chief military officer at the moment when he was conducting an agitational and patriotic conversation with recruits.
Ruslan's motive was to prevent the mobilization of his younger brother, who had been given a summons the day before. “Imagining for a moment that I would ever, God forbid, have to see my relative like this, I realized that I couldn’t live on, knowing that I hadn’t done anything to prevent this, and I was ready to rush with my bare hands under the tank for any of other brothers. I have three of them. Only in order not to see the grief and tears of relatives”, Zinin explained.
It is known that earlier Ruslan spoke out against the war, and also worried about the death of his childhood friend, who was serving military service and died in the first days of a full-scale invasion.
Ruslan is charged under article 317 of the Criminal Code — "Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer." He faces 12 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment. On September 26, 2022, Ruslan Zinin protested against the mobilization by opening fire at the military registration and enlistment office in the city of Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk Region. Ruslan wounded the head of the chief military officer at the moment when he was conducting an agitational and patriotic conversation with recruits.
Ruslan's motive was to prevent the mobilization of his younger brother, who had been given a summons the day before. “Imagining for a moment that I would ever, God forbid, have to see my relative like this, I realized that I couldn’t live on, knowing that I hadn’t done anything to prevent this, and I was ready to rush with my bare hands under the tank for any of other brothers. I have three of them. Only in order not to see the grief and tears of relatives”, Zinin explained.
It is known that earlier Ruslan spoke out against the war, and also worried about the death of his childhood friend, who was serving military service and died in the first days of a full-scale invasion.
Ruslan is charged under article 317 of the Criminal Code — "Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer." He faces 12 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment. We consider such an accusation to be unfounded, since the article, although may apply to military personnel, but only if they are engaged in the protection of public order. The military officer in this case, obviously, was busy with a completely different matter.
