Under the L1-zkEVM 2026 roadmap, EIP-8025 (Optional Execution Proofs) would enable validators (zkAttesters) to confirm blocks by verifying cryptographic proofs without the need for a full execution client. The first L1-zkEVM workshop is set for February 11, 2026. link
