Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued a market notice on their website yesterday afternoon (10 July, 2023), stating that BitOasis’ Operational MVP License has been suspended due to BitOasis’ delay in fulfilling certain post-licensing conditions.
This relates to our ongoing work to fulfill select conditions associated with our operational MVP license with respect to serving institutional and qualified retail investors. There won't be a disruption to our ability to provide our broker-dealer services to our existing users, however, please note that we have undertaken not to accept new user registrations until further notice. You can continue using BitOasis, knowing your assets are safe and secure, held 1-to-1, and our team will continue working closely with VARA and remediate all outstanding post-licensing conditions of our operational MVP license, as well as working towards a full market product (FMP) license.
We have always set out to be pioneers in the industry and knew that might come with unique challenges. We're happy to take on the responsibility that comes with being a leader, and we are excited and grateful to work on these items with VARA and the broader ecosystem.
