The boss is here, well it’s time to fire the keyboard and write the traffic light program
But first, we try to blink a led. Blinking LED is “hello world” in microcontroller world

Added more LEDs and implemented it to be a similar to traffic light 🚦
Red, then red and yellow, after that green. After green we light yellow and then red

It has a lot of wires connected but this is only because of programmer, it needs “+”, “-“ and 4 more wires to communicate with the controller 🤖

Making a model for the traffic light housing
This will be the tool to bring the housing to the life 😎
I’ve tried this already and should admit I’m not an artist at all 👨‍🎨

We’ve tried to build a piece of traffic light housing as well as some other things. Looks promising, but also needs to be ironed.

We have prepared drafts for the traffic light 🚦
Next we’ll use ironing to make them a bit more flat 🤞
I expected it to be more accurate, but let’s be happy with what we have ☺️

Well, the ironing doesn’t help much
But this is enough for the first DIY project! Right? Right?… 🙄
We’ve built a box and added more plastic. Now we’ll try another round of ironing 🚬

In my opinion it looks quite ugly but the kid likes this 😆

Okay, looks a bit better (but really a bit 🤏)
If you have an option to use 3D Printer or at least plastic sheets— use them without hesitation

For ironing I use this device, it’s just a normal 🚬 with a flat soldering iron tip. I found 250C a good temperature for melting. Normally ~200C is the working temperature for PLA plastic.
