Terrifying stories are making the rounds to frighten parents enough so that they will take their children to be tested for a relatively common symptom. I was asked to speak with a woman who had been told by a doctor that she had no genes to make glutathione, specifically one (of many involved with making glutathione) called GSTM. This woman is convinced that she has had "Lyme" for decades, and that it was a weaponized toxin. Her identity is defined by this diagnosis, Such convictions and dogma make conversations about health extremely difficult.

I have spent the past four years learning and practicing analysis of genes/enzymes of metabolism, detoxification, only to see them now as a snapshot in time, space, entities that can come/go depending on environment, nutrients, light, emotions. What I am looking at is the result, the endpoint, not the beginning.
