*LET GOD'S FIRE BURN AGAIN IN OUR HEARTS*
*Monday 9th September 2024*

Are you still holding on to your first love? The Lord is calling each one of us to a place of sincerity in re-examining our hearts, so that His fire can burn again within us.

Do not be like the church of Sardis that was fully performing yet strayed. Everything looked fine to the human eye but Jesus said that they were dead.

*Revelation 3:1-6 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, 'These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead...*

Don't be deceived by the praises of men when you know the light and fire is out. Just like Jesus told them to remember the point where they had started to drift off and repent, so must we.

What has replaced your zeal and love for the Master? What took off that affinity you had for the Lord?

In *Genesis 3:6-10*, Adam tried to clothe himself with fig leaves yet God still saw his nakedness.

There is nothing you can make or use to cover your nakedness except the Lord covers you. The voice of the Lord is clearly calling us back to a place where we are on fire for Him, despite our vocations.

*2 Kings 6:5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron [ax head] fell into the water; and he cried out and said, "Alas, master! For it was borrowed."*

Many of us are working without the axe heads because we have lost the fire, yet we are still working as though the axe is intact. Don't be hard-hearted, take responsibility and cry like that man who cried to Elijah saying, "Alas, Master, It's borrowed".

You can lie to men but not to God. When we come to seek God, there is no room for hypocrisy, we lay naked before Him.

*Jonah 2:8(KJV) They that observe lying vanities forsake their mercy.*

Please, I beg you, don't fall for a lie by listening to your fans because you will be destroyed. Listen to the voice of the Master, for He alone has got the right report concerning you.

The Spirit of the Lord is speaking to us individually and as a church. God is looking for men and women who are dead to themselves and only alive to Him. *(Philippians 1:21)*

The best of men among us are still men. You need the Holy Spirit even for the things you think you know. You must stay in a place where you can always receive the help of God 24/7.

*Jeremiah 2:13 " For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, [And] hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.*

How many of us have dug our own well and tried to drink from them? There is a lot of corruption in the house of God because we are drinking from the wells of men yet these will never satisfy. If you are humble and broken enough, return to the fountain of living water that never runs dry. *(John 7:37, Psalms 46:4)*.

There is a place in God where His fire burns on the tablets of your heart that you cannot help but obey His bidding. If you are tired of playing games, tell Him, "Lord, I am tired of the hypocrisy, let Your fire burn again in my heart".*(Jeremiah 20:9)*
