Today Pavel Durov will be speaking at Blockchain LIFE. I have high expectations for this and for the start of the meme season on $TON.
I see great potential in this network — it’s the one where I achieved the most consistent gains in my life during the last season, as it’s an emerging chain with massive distribution. After all, it’s the Telegram network, and the Web2 onboarding is huge.

The biggest issue right now is the learning curve for developers and the fact that the foundation isn’t behind the main basic infrastructures like DEXs, launchpads, etc.
There’s too much power concentrated in the hands of people who only want to favor their own ecosystem, or inexperienced and biased KOLs who promote their close friends. I genuinely want to see the Open Network become truly open.

I’m counting on that.

• On July 24, 2025, Horizen announced that it had migrated ZEN to the Base network as an ERC-20 token.

• The migration was approved through Horizen DAO governance.

🎯 Why it may have potential (Pros)
• The combination of privacy + DeFi is still relatively rare with solid infrastructure — if ZEN delivers, it could stand out.
• Migrating to Base could mean lower transaction costs, greater exposure to the Ethereum/Layer 2 ecosystem, and the chance to ride the hype around “hot narratives” (as you mentioned).
• A fixed 21 million supply supports the scarcity argument for those betting on “winning altcoins” in this final phase of the cycle.

🔹 $ZEN — Horizen
• Created in 2017 as a fork of Zclassic (which itself was a fork of Zcash).
• Evolved far beyond pure privacy — today it’s a modular platform for dApps, focused on sidechains and now privacy-focused appchains.
• The current token is ZEN, and in 2025 it migrated to Base as an ERC-20 under the Horizen 2.0 proposal.
• Horizen’s current mission is to integrate privacy and interoperability into the Ethereum ecosystem, especially through Base.

• The original 2016 project focused exclusively on transaction privacy (using zk-SNARKs).
• It’s a standalone blockchain (not EVM-compatible), hasn’t migrated to any L2, and isn’t focused on DeFi.
• Maintains a more “classic” private coin structure, similar to Monero.

👉 In short: ZEC = pure privacy coin, no appchains, no DeFi integration

Considering that $ZEN is a fork of $ZEC, which sits at a $6B market cap, we could realistically see $ZEN move from its current ~$320M to at least $1B. Unlike ZEC, ZEN is focused on building dApps and giving users access to active networks like Base.

Monero, for example, is a strong privacy coin — but you have to use its own network, which very few people actually do. If it had a Layer 3 built on Ethereum or Solana, adoption would be much higher.
