The credit line will be made available through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica), a Japanese international investment promotion agency, which has an office in Brazil
The meeting between Lula and Kishida took place behind closed doors and the governments did not give further details about the destination of the funding, whether it would be private companies or the public sector.
With this, Brazil will assume a debt with Japan that has no forecast for payment and, according to experts, will only have a forecast for payment only after 2027.
