West Bank: three settlers killed near checkpoint on Route ⁠57

Palestinian operation killed two Israeli female settlers and fatally injured a third on Route ⁠57 near a checkpoint giving access to the illegal settlement of Hamra, in the West Bank’s northern Jericho governorate.

Initially, it was ruled as a traffic accident between Palestinian and Israeli cars, which gave time for the first to withdraw.

Update: The operation killed two daughters in their twenties of age, reportedly serving in the IDF, and their mother. This raises the number of siblings killed together to 3 pairs, in the past 3 months.

Explosion near Sulaymaniyah International Airport, no casualties according to security forces

An explosion occurred near the Sulaymaniyah International Airport perimeter causing no injuries or damage, according to security forces.

The blast resulted in a fire that was later extinguished, and the airport remained unscathed, allowing flights to operate as normal.
Investigations are ongoing, and more information will be released at a later time.

The explosion comes shortly after Turkey imposed a three-month flight ban on Sulaymaniyah airport due to alleged infiltration by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). The ban is believed to be related to a recent helicopter crash in Duhok province that killed anti-terrorism forces associated with the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) traveling to Sulaymaniyah.

Turkey accuses the SDF of being the Syrian branch of the PKK. Turkish officials have also expressed concern about the PKK's influence in Sulaymaniyah.
