🇷🇼❌ 🇨🇩 — On July 19, 2023, via an official Statement published on its official social medias, the Government of Rwanda counter-accused the Government of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC/Congo-Kinshasa) of plotting to escalate hostilities and justify an attack on Rwandan soil
It happens just 1 day after the Armed Forces of DRC accused Rwanda of plotting to invade Eastern Congo to support ethnic Tutsi rebels from March 23 Movement (M23), which the Congolese side perceives as Rwandan proxies
Interestingly, Rwanda also accuses the DRC Armed Forces of arming the FDLR, an extremist, genocidal paramilitary group led by Hutu Ethnic supremacists
Noteworthy that the region where the tensions are taking place, North Kivu/Eastern Congo, are under direct Joint🇺🇳 United Nations-EAC Military Intervention, as neighboring nations fear that such conflict could spirall into a regional major conflict like the "African World War" in 2000s

🇺🇦🌾🇷🇺 Wheat prices spike after Russia bombs Odesa grain port in Ukraine, threatens to attack ships
Global wheat futures — an indicator of prices for the coming season — made their biggest one-day jump since Russia invaded Ukraine 17 months ago, prompting fears it would become unaffordable for the world's poorest populations.
Chicago Board of Trade wheat future for September lifted $33 per tonne overnight to the equivalent of $395 per tonne, while international canola futures for November in Canada jumped $15 to $994 per tonne.
Yesterday, it was reported Russia bombed the Odesa port, destroying grain loading infrastructure and about 60,000 tonnes of grain stored at the port.
Russian has also warned that any ships sailing near Ukrainian ports would be "regarded as potential carriers of military cargo."

#Russia / #Ukraine 🇷🇺🇺🇦: Mortar crew of #Russian Forces released a new photoset in #Svatov Direction, #Luhansk Oblast.
The unit seemingly operates at least one rare 82mm 20N5 mortar originally produced by #Azerbaijan 🇦🇿.
It might be a captured weapon considering these are also operated by #Ukrainian Forces since 2022.
