🇹🇼❌🇹🇼 — Video: On April 27, 2023, a major incident took place at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei, Repuiblic of China (Taiwan), as the ROC Honor Guard clashed with a protestor who sprayed paint on the Former Chinese Nationalist President Chiang Kai-shek's Statue

A Video surfaced on Thursday shows Taiwanese/ROC honor guard intercepting a Formosan Separatist protester who tried to fire a paint gun at a statue of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek in protest against the presence of the Chinese Nationalist leader Statue, which they claim to be a "Dictator and symbol of an authoritarian age that will never return" to the self-ruled Island.

The Formosan Separatist group "Taiwan Nation" released the video showing Taiwan Nation (台灣國) Chair Chilly Chen (陳峻涵) leaping over the rope barrier around the statue of Former ROC President Chiang seated in the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

Per the local medias, Chen, who had a paintball gun filled with red paint, rushed toward the statue and repeatedly shouted, "Tear down the bronze statue, transitional justice! Ruthless killer, remove the bronze statue!"

This is the 7th time since 2005 that members of the Separatist group Taiwan Nation have launched a protest calling for the removal of the Chiang statue from the hall

In a statement, Taiwan Nation argued the statue of Chiang should be removed because he was a "butcher ... tens of millions of people died because of him." The group also claims that Chiang and the Forces of the Kuomintang's NRA "illegally occupied Taiwan based on the 1943 Cairo Declaration

The separatists claim this "actually is just a press communique that no one had signed" and General Order No 1 for the surrender of Japan, which "actually just authorized him to accept (Japan's) surrender on behalf of the allies"

Chen was arrested by officers from the Zhongzheng First Precinct of the Taipei City Police Department, as he is expected to face fines for breaching the Social Order Maintenance Act
