Naturally you'd think that this signals a clear and obvious win for the Colorado party, and while I believe that such victory will occur it's been an unusual battle as the United States goverment has done as much as they could to delegitimaze the Colorado Party and sway the general public into a Liberal SocDem victory.

You see dear reader back in July 2022, the United States federal government reported that Hugo Cartes (former president and current leader of the Honor Colorado branch) was involved in "significant acts of corruption", and that he obstructed a major international investigation into transnational crime to protect himself and his criminal partners from possible prosecution and political harm.
The United States Department of State decided to designate him "significantly corrupt," revoke his visa and bar him from entering United States territory, however they never provided any evidence either to the general public or privately to the Paraguayan General Attorney.

The United States shortly after on the 12th of August designated the active vice president Hugo Velazquez as also "significantly corrupt", bear in mind Mr Velazquez was the primary contender for the Fuerza Republicana branch.

This effectively left the FR branch without a suitable candidate and left the HC party heavily impacted in public view, while remaining entirely silent on  any of the Liberals, effectively setting them up for a victory in the polls, however the FR branch was able to get a very strong candidate in the form of Arnoldo Wiens who despite not having won the primary gave back a lot of legitimacy to the Colorado Party as despite there being no charges filed nor any evidence given, the accused dropping out in favor of new "clean" options saw massive support from the general populace. However the US State Department seeing this reacted by instructing the Department of the Treasure to place sanctions on Horacio Cartes claiming that before, during and after his presidential term, incurred in a "coordinated pattern of corruption " which includes bribes to officials and legislators.
According to US ambassador Marc Ostfield (a sodomite appointed by Biden who replaced the prior excellent ambassador), Cartes "leveraged his illegitimately acquired wealth and influence to expand his political and economic power in Paraguayan institutions."
The Office of Foreign Assets Control resolved to sanction Cartes using the Global Magnitsky Law on Human Rights Accountability and to freeze any financial assets he may have in the US.
In addition, the US also imposed specific sanctions against four companies controlled by Cartes: Tabacos USA Inc., Bebidas USA Inc., Dominicana Acquisition S.A., and Frigorífico Chajha S.A.E. Sanctions also include any entity in which Cartes directly or indirectly owns 50% or more of the shares.

They also sanctioned the current Vice President Hugo Velazquez, but were far less clear in what exact sanctions it placed.

This as well as paying off local international affiliated media shows that the United States is unhappy with Paraguay remaining the strongest rightwing nation in South America as well as remaining Neutral on the Russian - Ukranian War, it is unlikely the Colorado Party will fail but the intent for a color revolution is clearly there.
