🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇻🇦🇮🇱🇬🇧🇮🇱 Jerusalem Post: Church of England, British Catholic Church oppose moving UK embassy to Jerusalem
— "Two of the UK's most senior Christian authorities have recently come out against the potential decision of Prime Minister Liz Truss to move the British Embassy to the State of Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

In a letter sent to the prime minister, one of the UK's leading Roman Catholic Church authorities, Archbishop of Westminster Cardent Vincent Nichols has called on Truss to not move the British Embassy to the State of Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

— "A relocation of the UK Embassy would be seriously damaging to any possibility of lasting peace in the region and to the international reputation of the United Kingdom", said Cardinal Vincent Nichols

Cardinal Nichols, who serves as the president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales wrote a letter to Prime Minister Truss earlier this week, expressing his "profound concern" over her call for a review of the location of the British Embassy and the suggestion that she may consider moving it from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem."

🇮🇱🇱🇧📃🇮🇱 Israel Defense Minister Gantz: Israel will move forward with plans to extract gas from the Karish field even without an agreement with Lebanon
The Israeli security establishment gave the green light to start testing the extraction at Karish gas field...tomorrow.

Israel will extract gas from Karish to land and vise verse to test the system.

Production won't start tomorrow.
⋯ Israeli Minister Benny Gantz, in a live interview on Channel 12 now, talks about giving a green light from the Israeli security establishment to activate the Karish platform tomorrow.

"The army is getting ready for escalation."
⋯ The initial extraction for testing is going to happen tomorrow.

Production is expected to start in a week.

Note: Hezbullah is not concerned with testing but rather with production from the field.
⋯ Gantz says the agreement with Lebanon is satisfactory, that even Netanyahu would have signed it.

As in, Netanyahu is only voicing protest against the deal because of the elections. No Israeli official wants war.
⋯ Gantz: "If Hezbullah makes the mistake of attacking Karish, we will break Lebanon. "

Break as a literal translation of the word he used: dismantling
⋯ Lebanon received the Israeli response about the new changes it requested.

Israel is awaiting Lebanon's response.
⋯ Gantz: "I am the one who decided to raise the alert in the north and ordered the forces to prepare, and this came after accurate intelligence information."

"I am not causing concern for the residents, I am speaking seriously and preserving the population."
⋯ Gantz has invited Netanyahu to the Ministry of War to be briefed about the situation.

Military leaders will participate in the meeting.

French refinery strikes takes half of the nation’s refining capacity offline - forcing France’s largest sugar maker, Tereos, to curtail production

Diesel and petrol stations in France are running out of fuel, according to an industry union, as a refining strike takes its toll. The strike, which among others, took Total’s 240,000 bpd Gonfreville refinery offline as well as a couple of Exxon’s, was expected to conclude on Thursday…but Friday, reports came in that strikes were disrupting Total’s oil products refining and delivery for a fourth day — 60% of the nation’s total refining capacity.

There is no need to rush to the station (for gas),” TotalEnergies said on Friday. Despite those affirmations, France’s largest sugar maker, Tereos, said it had to curtail production somewhat at some of its factories after Total advised it that it would not be able to supply it with any more diesel until the end of the week.

France was already battling a shortage of refined products, with Russia’s exports to Europe falling in recent months.

🇫🇷🔥⛽️MAJOR GAS SHORTAGES ACCROSS FRANCE

👉🏻 With the recent refinery strikes and the lack of Russian imports, the recent gas situation in France has turned chaotic with major shortages in the north and south-east of France, and all around Paris. As of right now, 717 (15%) gas station are completely out of gas, and 523 are partially so.

🔎 The second video is what the remaining fuel stations look like in northern France, even at midnight. The government has decided to use its strategic supplies to refuel some of the gas stations.

⛽️ One expert explained that «this logistical disorganization will produce effects for more than a few days. Improvements are made very quickly within a few days, but it takes about ten days for a return to normal»
