Padrino López responds with air patrols to the overflight of US planes in Guyana

The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, reported this Friday on the deployment of air patrols after the United States announced on Thursday the overflight of two Navy planes in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana - a country with which Venezuela maintains a territorial dispute. -, and its surroundings.

During a military event broadcast by the state channel VTV, Padrino López assured that in "a matter of an hour" they had an "organized deployment" of Sukhoi 30MK2, F-16 and K-8 aircraft to defend the airspace, although he did not specify the territory to which the aircraft were sent.
