➡️ Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) is calling on President Biden to take control of the Texas National Guard if the state defies a Supreme Court ruling that allows U.S. Border Patrol officers to take down the border barriers.

➡️ “Governor Greg Abbott is using the Texas National Guard to obstruct and create chaos at the border. If Abbott is defying yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, POTUS needs to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard now,” Castro wrote in a Tuesday post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

➡️ Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has been engaged in a months-long feud with the Biden administration over the situation at the border. Abbott has maintained that Biden is not doing enough to address border security, while the Biden administration has said Texas does not have the authority to erect razor wire barriers.

It happens as White House and US Democrats started to debate the possibility of taking away the control over National Guard unities and Federalizing/handing it to Biden's hands, as the crisis at Mexican-US Border looms.

🌴 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 New bill could allow Florida State Guard be sent to Texas to help with the border, lawmaker says

🔶️ A bill seeking to revise certain aspects of the Florida State Guard contains a provision that would allow for the agency to operate outside of the state’s borders.

🔶️ Besides the expansion of potential geographical space to cover, the bill provides the state guard the same legal protections and immunities that the National Guard receives.

🔶️ Giallombardo explained that in order for the state guard to operate outside of Florida, other states that they occupy would have to sign off on a mutual agreement.

🔶️ Rep. Dan Daley, D-Coral Springs, questioned if the guard could then be sent to the U.S-Mexico border if a border state, such as Texas, had an agreement with Florida.

➡️ A new textbook for Russian students claims former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election due to voter fraud committed by the Democrats.

➡️ Images from the history book, which is reportedly used by students in the 11th (graduating) grade, have circulated on social media in recent days. Marc Bennetts, foreign correspondent for The Times (U.K.), posted a page from the book on Monday onto his X (formerly Twitter) account, translating that the book said Trump lost the election "as a result of obvious electoral fraud by the Democratic Party."

➡️ Konstantin Sonin, professor at the University of Chicago who frequently writes about Russian politics, also shared the Russian textbook's 'false' claims about the 2020 election on X. When contacted for more information about the textbook, Sonin provided Newsweek with a PDF copy of the book. He also told Newsweek that he didn't doubt the authenticity of its contents and that the book's publication was announced earlier this year during a press conference by the book's authors and Sergei Kravstov, Russia's minister of education.

The announcement came from Governor Kevin Stitt, who previously raised the prospect of confrontations between State forces and the Federal Government.
