🇺🇸❌🇮🇶 — On today, January 4, 2024 AD, it was reported on Iraqi and Iranian social medias that United States Air Force (USAF) had conducted an airstrike against positions of the Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which are a coalition of Iraqi Government-backed & Iran-linked militias and paramilitary forces.

During such attack, Abu Taqwa, the commander of the 12th Brigade of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), the Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, who also functions as the deputy operations officer of the entire organization, was Killed in Action Baghdad, Iraq.

Alongside him, Ali Naif Aref was also killed, with lots of other people also being wounded during the airstrike

Iraqi military spokesman Yehia Rasool said in a statement that the Iraqi National Army "holds the US-led International Coalition Forces responsible for this unprovoked attack on an Iraqi security body operating in accordance with the powers granted to it by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces."

In a statement, Iraq's Foreign Ministry called the strike "a dangerous escalation" and said "that Iraq reserves its right to take a firm stance and all necessary measures to deter anyone who tries to harm its territory and its security forces."

Per US media, One of the officials said al-Saidi was driving into the garage of the headquarters affiliated with the al-Nujaba militia, one of the members of the PMF, along with another militia official when the car was hit, killing both.
