🇨🇱🗳❗️ — In a New Referendum, Chilean population rejects a new Constitution Project that would replace the Pinochet Era's National-Capitalist one for a Liberal-Conservative-leaning with social-democratic elements one!

Such a thing is a new defeat for the Chilean Left-Progressive Government and moderate sectors of the Chilean Right who expected the population to accept a constitutional project that would please both sectors of society

Now, Chile returns to the constitutional deadlock that has lasted 4 years and remains with the Pinochet Era Constitution

🇰🇵🇺🇸📰 Reuters: North Korea fires short-range missile, condemns U.S. for raising tensions

➡️ North Korea fired a short-range ballistic missile on Sunday, as it condemned U.S.-led military shows of force including the arrival of a submarine in South Korea as tantamount to "a preview of a nuclear war".

➡️ The missile was launched towards the sea off North Korea's east coast and flew about 570 km (350 miles) before falling in the ocean, according to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

➡️ The launch came after warnings from officials in Seoul and Tokyo that nuclear-armed North Korea was preparing to test-fire a missile, including one of its longest-range intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) this month.

➡️ North Korea fired an unspecified ballistic missile toward the East Sea on Monday, the South Korean military said, just hours after it launched a short-range missile, amid speculation the latest one could be an intercontinental ballistic missile.

➡️ The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the launch but did not give further details.

➡️ North Korea fired a short-range missile from in or around Pyongyang at 10:38 p.m. Sunday, and it flew about 570 kilometers before splashing into the East Sea, according to the JCS.

➡️ The back-to-back missile launches came after South Korea's First Deputy National Security Adviser Kim Tae-hyo said a few days earlier that the North could fire an ICBM within this month.

🇮🇱🇵🇸 — On December 17, 2023, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli observers published series of footages and images of what it claimed to be the largest-ever Hamas attack tunnel discovered and found by the Israeli military, in the northern Gaza Strip, close to the Erez border crossing

According to the IDF, the massive tunnel system branches out and spans well over four kilometers (2.5 miles). Its entrance is located only 400 meters (1,310 feet) and, as claimed by the IDF, was used by Gazans on a daily basis to enter Israel for work and medical treatment in Israeli hospitals.

Per the IDF, this tunnel system was a project led by Mohammad Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, and the commander of Hamas’ Khan Yunis Battalion.

As claimed by the Israeli Army and noted by observers, over the past weeks of the combat operations inside Gaza, the IDF Combat Engineering Corps’ elite Yahaom unit and Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade used “advanced intelligence and technological means” to uncover the “strategic” tunnel network, scan it, and clear it of any potential threat

Alongside the photos taken by IDF soldiers during the ongoing operations, the Israeli Army medias published a "video recovered by IDF from Hamas" showing the work of Palestinian engineers during the construction of the tunnel, as well the equipment used during it.

🚢 🇨🇳 🇮🇱 OOCL has dropped all shipping to/from Israel because of the Houthi activities in the Red Sea. OOCL is part of the COSCO group which is in the world's top 5 shipping companies.

🔶️ This on top of all the other major shipping companies rerouting the ships on the Asia-Europe route to around the Cape of Good Hope which adds a lot to their fuel bills, costs, and shipping times; and deprives Egypt of Suez Canal fees.
