🇩🇪 Reichsbürger: German far-right extremists charged with planning violent coup

🔶️ German prosecutors have charged 27 suspected far-right extremists with planning a violent coup.

🔶️ The suspects are accused of membership of the fringe Reichsbürger - or Citizens of the Reich - movement.

🔶️ "The members of the group strongly rejected state institutions and the free democratic constitutional order," according to the indictment.

🔶️ They are mostly associates of Heinrich XIII Prince Reuss, a Reichsbürger figurehead from an aristocratic family.

🔶️ Prosecutors have charged the 27 people with planning to overthrow Germany's democratic political system.

🔶️ Concrete preparations were made for a coup beginning in summer 2021.

🔶️ Prince Reuss was planned to be head of state. On taking office, he would negotiate a peace treaty with the Allied powers which won World War II. Prince Reuss tried to meet representatives of the Russian government to gain support for the coup, according to prosecutors.

🔶️ Birgit Malsack-Winkemann, then a member of the Bundestag for the far-right Alternative for Germany party, would have been made justice minister. Prosecutors said she granted access to parliamentary buildings to other co-conspirators.

🔶️ According to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Germany's domestic intelligence agency, there are about 23,000 followers of the Reichsbürger movement in the country.

According to the IDF, the "fighters of the Golani Brigade's combat team and its commanders have been fighting for about a week in the depths of the Shajaiya area in Gaza City" and "In recent days, the brigade has been attacking terrorist infrastructures in the Kasbah of Shejaiya", with the IDF categorizing the attack as "an advanced step in the effort to cleanse the neighborhood of terrorists from the terrorist organization Hamas and to deny the organization's capabilities" in the area.

During the video, Israeli infantrymen are seen conducting ground screening operations and recon operations alongside mechanized and armored units of the IDF, a notorious change of tactics by IDF approach towards its armored units, aiming to search and eliminate possible Palestinian Operatives in the area.

🇬🇧💻📃 — 📰 Sky News: UK could be brought to a halt 'at any moment' by cyberattack, report warns

➡️ The UK is unprepared for a large-scale ransomware attack and "at any moment" could be brought to a standstill, a new report says.

➡️ Parliament's Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy (JCNSS) said responsibility for tackling ransomware attacks should be taken off the Home Office - which the report accuses of giving political priority to other issues - and given to the Cabinet Office and overseen directly by the deputy prime minister.

➡️ In its report, the JCNSS says the UK's regulatory frameworks are insufficient and outdated, and warns that large swathes of critical national infrastructure remain vulnerable to ransomware because they rely on legacy IT systems.

➡️ It says there has been a failure to sufficiently invest in safeguards to prevent a major crisis, despite government agencies like the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) warning about ransomware attacks, particularly from groups linked to Moscow, Beijing, and Pyongyang.

🇸🇾 — Kurdistan 24: The General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) on Wednesday adopted a social contract on Wednesday, in which the AANES was renamed as the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES).

Moreover, the new de-facto constitution said that the DAANES will have its own flag that will be flown alongside “the flag of the Syrian Democratic Republic.”

The Alliance unequivocally rejected attempts to exploit the quota seats designated for the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament.

The Alliance called for a transparent process with the quota seats, free from the inclusion of votes from outside the seats designated components, to prevent the confiscation of the quota seats from external and foreign actors with anti-Assyrian interests and ambitions in the region.
