According to the locomotive crew, during the passage of the tunnel the tension was relieved and the train slowed down.
While the team members were figuring out what was going on, heavy smoke began to form in the tunnel - the team secured the train and left the tunnel.

As a result of the explosion, tank 16 at the head of the train burned out, and a hole was found in two tanks (20 and 22 at the head of the train) in the drainage area. After the explosion, it was possible to remove 14 tanks, but further transportation of the cars is not yet possible - the explosion seriously damaged the rails, and the leaked fuel flooded them.

Later, another train was blown up in the same area. 4 tanks from the train burned out, two more were damaged by fire. According to preliminary data, fuel spilled over an area of 150 square meters.

On Telegram, channels tied to the so-called National Republican Army, the supposed Anti-Putin Partisans funded and trained by Ukrainian Intelligence, claimed the attack, saying that the trains were carrying " hundreds of thousands of shells are transported from the DPRK to the European part of Russia"

Prince Constantin was the youngest son of Prince Hans-Adam II, the current reigning prince of Lichtenstein, and was seventh in the line of succession to the throne.
