It was obviously permitted from on high. The guy is a high-value target and under very close supervision. They did this to indulge their base but their base is basically children and have moved on to newer and shinier things. That was like three years ago.

It will, however, incense the right, who have not forgotten.

A competent elite never would have let this happen—the left stands to gain nothing and the right to gain everything. It’s far from the first time. COVID basically showed mainstream America that the government is out to harm the welfare of its citizens; Jan. 6th showed that anarcho-tyranny is the rule; Ukraine showed that it can no longer win proxy wars; reaction to Hamas showed genocidal intentions. In all of these a tactical win was a longer-term strategic loss.

This is evidence that the Competency Crisis within institutional centres is reaching critical levels. Makes the Wilson or FDR elite of yesteryear look like absolute titans. They are tottering.
