The audio released by the Israeli army of two Hamas operatives accusing PIJ of yesterday's misfire is definitely staged and doesn't sound like the native Arabic of Gaza nor real.

Yes, anyone sane can cast doubt on the event because claims of either theories need proof, but this attempt by the IDF is pathetic.

From post explosion drone footage that proves nothing, to a map that is not to scale, and a definitely fake audio. They are trying hard to shift the blame without concrete evidence to support their story.

The first guy (an Arab) talking in the audio is saying words as if reading a script, while the other is most likely an Israeli Shen Bet officer.

Check for the video and watch it, and judge by yourself.

Every second we wait to get medical aid in, we lose lives.

We need immediate access to start delivering life-saving supplies.

We need violence on all sides to stop."

#BREAKING ๐ŸดโŒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโ—๏ธ โ€” ๐Ÿ“ฐ Reuters, quoting two American officials: The US Army thwarted a major drone attack targeting its US Army forces in Iraq!
A friendly advice for our followers in the Middle East or those with acquaintances (family, friends, business partners) in countries under the tutelage of US Army CENTCOM:
โ€” Maintain maximum caution in the coming days given the volatility of the situation currently seen in the region and, so to speak, try as much as possible to stay away from areas with CENTCOM/NATO military bases in the region

We say this especially after tonight's events, which are probably just a foreshadowing of something much bigger that *could* (that is, a possible possibility not a something 100% sure to happen) happen in the coming days.

The possibility of an escalation beyond the limits previously seen in any modern era is real and, so to speak, should not be underplayed as "happener hype" or similar copes of the type.

We say this not to cause panic or fear, but because we care about the integrity of those who follow us in the region.

Forewarned is forearmed
Better safe than sorry

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโŒ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ โ€” ๐Ÿ“ฐ Axios: US Treasury to launch new sanctions against Hamas this week
โ€” "The Treasury Department is preparing to announce new sanctions against several Hamas leaders this week as part of the U.S. response to the militant group's attack on Israel, U.S. officials said.

Why it matters: Hamas relies on global financial networks to fund its operations, which are based out of the Gaza Strip. The sanctions aim to disrupt that flow of money.

Brian Nelson, Treasury undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, explained to a Deloitte anti-money laundering conference in New York on Tuesday how his department has worked to disrupt Hamas's financing operations over the last two decades โ€” and hinted at what Treasury plans to do in the future."

๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ“ˆ โ€” ๐Ÿ“ฐ Reuters: PRECIOUS-Gold jumps 1% as Middle East conflict intensifies
โ€” "Gold prices climbed 1% to their highest in a month on Wednesday after a deadly blast in Gaza fuelled fears about the regional conflict escalating, keeping the safe-haven asset in demand.

Spot gold XAU= rose 0.8% to $1,938.79 per ounce by 0248 GMT, after scaling its highest since Sept. 20 earlier in the session. U.S. gold futures GCcv1 also jumped 0.8% to $1,951.50.

Hundreds were killed in a blast at a Gaza City hospital on Tuesday, according to Palestinian officials, igniting protests in the West Bank and around the Middle East, ahead of a visit by U.S. President Joe Biden to Israel.

"Safe-haven flows amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have remained the dominant catalyst for gold prices," IG market strategist Yeap Jun Rong said."

๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ“ˆ โ€” ๐Ÿ“ฐ Mint: Gold prices rates jump on Israel-Hamas war escalation fears

โ€” "Gold prices witnessed sharp gains in the morning trade in the domestic futures market on Wednesday, October 18, mirroring positive trends in global markets, amid concerns over an escalation in the Israel-Hamas war.

"Gold prices climbed 1 per cent to their highest in a month on Wednesday after a deadly blast in Gaza fuelled fears about the regional conflict escalating, keeping the safe-haven asset in demand," reported Reuters.

"Gold prices have surged over $100 since the conflict began, despite recent robust US economic data fuelling bets of higher-for-longer interest rates, which tend to lift the dollar and bond yields," the Reuters report added."

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ณ Guinea junta arrests 12 protesting journalists

Guinean security forces have arrested a dozen journalists who were demonstrating against alleged media censorship in the country, local media report.

Among those arrested in Monday's protests was the secretary-general of the Union of Professionals of the Press of Guinea (SPPG), Sekou Jamal Pendessa.

The union had called a march in the capital, Conakry, to demand that the authorities lift restrictions placed on a popular news website, Guineematin and to protest against other violations of press freedom.

Guineematin has reportedly been blocked in Guinea for the last two months.

Guineaโ€™s ruling junta, which has banned protests since 2022, has not provided any explanation for the blockage.
