🇱🇻🇪🇪🚫🇷🇺 Baltic Russians in Latvia have adopted the trend of putting "Ya Russki" stickers on their vehicles, in the footsteps of their Estonian counterparts.

This time, however, the negative response doesn't come from the Police at first, but instead from Latvians themselves. In the pictured case, Alexei Stefanov reports that the owner of the vehicle put up the sticker in the evening, only to find it on the ground in the morning. Chances are she would've had her window broken if she had the sticker displayed from the inside.

He also notes that perhaps it was not a Latvian who did this, but a Ukrainian nationalist. This is an interesting observation given the information published by the Russian-language news source "Sprote", who claim that on social media residents of Riga have begun to note that Latvians are starting to craze over the Ukrainian language.

"The women were very interested in Ukrainian dictionaries and tutorials. They said, well, we need it. Can we order more? The seller confirmed that there is a great demand for Ukrainian dictionaries...
Apparently, interest in the Ukrainian language in Latvia is heating up. We must learn, because languages enrich us! We need to know the language in order to resist Moscow!”

This claim comes from a lady who also makes note of the fact that several restaurants have removed their Russian menus in favor for Ukrainian ones. It's ironic that claims such as these come concerning a people who largely speak Russian, and this seems especially the case for the many fighting age young men who flee their homeland at a time of war for "greener pastures" in the rest of Europe. One can imagine the pains of being treated as an alien in the land of your birth, even if you comply with the demands of your "counterparts".

Zastava M84 machine guns, M72 LMG, M80 'Zolja' anti-tank weapons, Zastava M76 DMR, Zastava M93 automatic grenade launcher with Serbian NSBG-1 aiming device, 30mm M93P1 grenades, Zastava M70B1 / M70AB2 assault rifles can be seen.

The gunmen were mostly armed with Yugoslavian/Serbian weapons/munition and seemingly had quite a large weaponry.

The most interesting vehicle is the up-armored TAM 110 T7 B/BV truck —which is quite similar to "Ris" upgrades that operated by the Serbian Gendarmerie.
