Manbij Military Council Repels Turkish-Backed Mercenary Attack in Western Countryside

In a recent development, the Head of the SDF Media Center, Fahrad Shami, reported on a foiled attack carried out by Turkish-backed mercenaries in the western countryside of Manbij and along the al-Sajour Line.

However, the forces of the Manbij Military Council managed to successfully fend off the assault, inflicting casualties on the attacking mercenaries.

The attempted attack targeted the villages of al-Khaldia and Arab Hasan.

In Arab Hasan village, the Manbij Military Council's successfully eliminated four mercenaries and destroyed an armoured
vehicle used by the attackers.

Mazloum Abdî, SDF General Commander made a statement regarding events in Deir ez-Zor on X:

"In collaboration and solidarity with our people in Deir al-Zour, our forces will continue their efforts as part of the "Security Enhancement" campaign to establish stability and provide security for the citizens.

Despite the situation moving towards regaining security, establishing stability and preserving civil peace thanks to the local community, tribes, and the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to carry out attacks on Tel Tamer and Manbij, aiming to destabilize the region and undermine the will of our people."

Commander-in-Chief of SDF Reveals International Coalition Support Amidst Rising Tensions in Deir ez-Zor

SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdî has stated, "We received air support from the US-led international coalition in our efforts against militants in Deir ez-Zor."

He accused the Damascus government of sending factions into SDF territories by making them cross the Euphrates.

He said that this was part of significant strategies of the Damascus government to assert control over SDF-held areas.

He added that Washington had called for a peaceful resolution to the Deir ez-Zor crisis and had engaged in extensive discussions with them.

Finally, the General Commander announced that they had initiated communication with tribal leaders in Deir ez-Zor who also expressed a desire for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
