๐บ๐ธ๐ซ๐ท๐ฌ๐ฆ USA, France and a military coup in Gabon
Russian channel Rybar published a very interesting insights about the coup in Gabon.
The fact is that the leader of the coup and a head of the Republican Guard, Brice Oligui Nguema, has close connections with the U.S.
The authorities in the United States have been supporting Nguema for several years, preparing him for the next elections, in which he was supposed to win and take over after Ali Bongo. Moreover, three years ago, details of the Nguema's ownership of three houses in the US, bought with cash in the state of Maryland, was leaked online. The funny part is that the CIA was investigating the thing.
But why did a pro-American general overthrow a pro-French president? As it seems the US government thinks that the French authorities are no longer able to effectively protect the interests of the collective West, including the USA, on the territory under their control. Therefore, Washington decided to take matters into its own hands and seize the initiative from the French.
It is unlikely that the French authorities will go for an escalation in relations with the US because of Gabon. Macron most likely will just swallow it. French intelligence is only tasked with dealing with the transfer of Ali Bongo and his family to a prison in Morocco, and their subsequent release, after the president is convicted in Gabon.
Also curious that French business is going to leave Gabon after the coup, which was not the case, for example, in Niger where the uranium company Orano continues to operate there

#BREAKING ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ โ๏ธ โ South Korean Army reports that North Korean People's Army fired a ballistic missile minutes ago!
โ "North Korea fired an unspecified ballistic missile toward the East Sea on Wednesday, Seoul's military said, amid an ongoing major military exercise between South Korea and the United States.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced the launch but did not elaborate further, pending an analysis.
The allies kicked off the annual Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) exercise on Aug. 21 and it is set to end Thursday.
Pyongyang has long accused the allies' military drills of being an invasion rehearsal against it."

๐ง๐ท๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐บ๐ฆ โ Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the position of Brazilian President Luiz Inรกcio Lula da Silva (PT) regarding the war in his country and rejected peace solutions that involve the cession of Ukrainian territory to Russia.
"When we talk about a unilateral or multilateral formula, we must be fair. And President Lula must clearly understand that the war is in Ukraine, not in Russia. Not in Brazil, not in Africa, not in the United States," Zelensky said in an interview with the Portuguese state broadcaster RTP.
Zelensky also stated that "to say something, one must understand who the victim is and who the aggressor is" and that the solution for peace is not a unilateral formula but rather that of the "country that is suffering." Peace proposals that involve ceding territory to Russia are not "consistent," the Ukrainian president added.
๐ฃ "It is not compatible with respect for our territorial integrity and sovereignty (...) People must respect the territories of independent states," he concluded.
Lula's position, despite his later condemnation of the Russian invasion, had already been criticized by Ukraine for considering it places responsibility on both parties and suggests that a way out of the conflict could be the cession of territory to Russia.
