North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called for an increase in missile production to help secure "overwhelming military power" and be ready for war.
Kim gave the order as he visited key munitions factories that produce tactical missiles, missile launch platforms, armored vehicles and artillery shells.
His field inspection was the latest in a string of visits to arms factories, where he ordered mass production of weapons, and came days before South Korea and the US are to begin annual military drills.

The national power outage that occurred on Tuesday (15), affecting more than 20 Brazilian states, has increased the pressure in favor of the privatization of Eletrobras.
Implemented during Jair Bolsonaro's administration of the PL party, this measure has faced questioning and opposition since President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) took office at the Palácio do Planalto, and it has come under scrutiny following today's failures.
However, an excess of wind and solar energy in the system might be one of the reasons for the blackout, along with the overload on Eletrobras' transmission line in Ceará, sources say.

🇦🇫❌ 🇦🇫 — On August 15, 2023, the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF), an insurgent group made up by remnants of Afghan National Army and anti-Taliban insurgents, claimed to have conducted attacks in Parwan Province.
According to the group, AFF forces on Asad 24, 1402 (August 15 on Persian Calendar) conducted attacks against Taliban positions in the Do Sarke area of the Former NATO base of Bagram airbase. During the attack, which lasted for nearly an hour, 5 armed Taliban were killed and 3 militiamen of this group were injured, according to the group's claim.
Two rifles were also captured by the fighters of front. However no photo or evidence of such were published by them

According to local media, Hundreds of Muslim men invaded an area belonging to a traditional Christian community in Punjab, Eastern Pakistan, vandalizing and destroying several churches, as well Christian cemeteries and burning dozens of houses, after a family among of the church members was accused of "desecrating a copy of the Qur’an"
During the barbaric acts, the Crosses were teared down by the Islamist mobs with copies of the Bibles alongside other churches items being burned in the during the attack
A Christian leader, Akmal Bhatti, told Reuters that the Islamist crowd had torched at least five churches and looted valuables from houses that had been abandoned by their owners after Islamic clerics made announcements in mosques inciting the muslim mobs against the local Christians
