MATéRICA
Media
MATéRICA unfolds as an inquiry into matter understood not as a support, but as a subject in itself. The sculptures do not depict stone; they operate as mineral bodies, formed through accumulation, pressure, and transformation. Ceramic functions here as a field of negotiation between control and material agency, where fire is not a technique but a deciding force. The surface becomes a site of material inscription. Glazes reveal real processes: fusion, gravity, oxidation, generating tonal variations that arise not from compositional intent but from the internal logic of matter itself. There is no uniform finish, no decorative gesture; every difference is consequential.Creams, mineral greys, and dense browns emerge as states of material rather than symbolic color. Fine, discontinuous black and white traces cross the volumes as residual actions, bearing the fragility of the hand and the resistance of the body. They do not describe; they testify.

Haglöfs
Media
The story of Haglöfs is one of genuine craftsmanship, attention to detail, and attending to the needs of people who spend most of their time outdoors. It all started with Wiktor Haglöf in 1914. In times of hard work in the forests of Dalarna, equipment was often carried long distances and inspired by the needs he faced, the first Haglöfs backpack was produced. Within 20 years, they went from that first backpack to innovating and producing a full range of outdoor equipment. and since 1914, Haglöfs has been all about this uncompromising dedication to life outdoors.Haglöfs approached SDL to craft a distinct and forward-looking brand purpose alongside a refreshed brand platform. This included redefining their visual identity to honor the brand's rich heritage while projecting a bold vision for the future. The project is ongoing, in close collaboration with the Haglöfs brand team, with exciting touchpoints set to launch over the next year. From reimagined retail and digital experiences to

McMichael
Media
Founded in 1952 by Robert and Signe McMichael, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection is synonymous with icons like the Group of Seven, Emily Carr, and Tom Thomson. Beyond this legacy lies a vibrant, evolving institution?home to contemporary and Indigenous art, groundbreaking exhibitions, and new scholarship, but despite this breadth, public perception remains rooted in the past. With a major expansion underway, BMD was tasked with creating a bold new brand identity and website to reposition McMichael as a dynamic cultural space?one that challenges ideas about Canada, art, and society.

Grundtvigs Kirke
Media
Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen stands as a quiet monument of expressionist church architecture. Designed by Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint and completed in 1940, the building is formed entirely from yellow Danish brick, translating Gothic verticality into a restrained, modern language where structure and surface become one.The west façade rises as a sculptural sequence of stepped gables, its rhythm continuing into the interior through pointed arches and soaring brick vaults. Space unfolds through repetition and proportion, guided by light that moves gently across textured surfaces. Ornament is absent; instead, material, scale, and craftsmanship define the atmosphere. This photographic series approaches the church as an architecture of stillness and measure, focusing on the interplay of light, brick, and form, and on the subtle tension between expressionist abstraction and sacred tradition.

Mercè 17
Media
The building located at number 17 Mercè Street was constructed in 1580. Situated in the heart of Barcelona, in the Gothic Quarter, it is a space rich in history that has hosted a wide variety of uses and lives over the centuries. Restored a few years ago by architect Ricardo Bofill, it has recently been put up for sale with the aim of creating a community of owners around an exclusive collection of nine premium apartments. The brand is built around the idea of the passage of time, experienced and accumulated by the building itself, which gives it its singular character. The different historical layers are visible both in its structure and in the restoration, where original elements coexist with contemporary interventions. It is precisely this dialogue between past and present that shapes the essence of the brand.Project Lead: Gerard CondalCreative Direction: Raimon MercadéGraphic Design: Raimon Mercadé, Roser Padrés and Anna MarquèsPhotography: Enric Badrinas
