One of the most expensive books in the world is Leonardo da Vinci's Leicester Codex.
"The Leicester Codex is a notebook of natural scientific notes and reflections made by Leonardo da Vinci in Milan in 1506-1510. The manuscript consists of 18 sheets of paper, written on both sides to make a 72-page notebook. Leonardo wrote the treatise in his own "mirror" writing - you can read them only with the help of a mirror.
Each chapter of the Codex begins with an appeal to future generations and a compelling explanation that the world is a single "living organism." According to Leonardo's beliefs: air is the "soul" of the planet, the surface of the earth its "body," and water its "blood.

This is one of several maps from 1513 showing unknown lands, impossible knowledge, and superb accuracy. This map shows both Americas.
Reis's map should not exist. There is no way anyone could have drawn such an accurate map so long ago. The first instrument for calculating longitude was invented in 1761 by John Harrison. Before that, there was no way to calculate longitude so accurately.
