A Livermore Lawrence National Laboratory employee opens the world's heaviest swinging door
The photo was taken in 1979. That door was 244 cm thick, nearly 365 cm wide, and weighed 44 tons.
A special bearing in the hinge allowed one person to open or close the concrete-filled door, which was used to protect the Rotating Target Neutron Source-II (RTNS-II), the world's most powerful continuous fusion neutron source.

Ginny: the dog who saved 900 cats
Ginny, a dog who passed away in 2005, was famous for her love of cats. As soon as Ginny was taken from the shelter, she sought them out and rescued them, then brought them to her owner.
The dog would find abandoned or stray cats in pipes, trash cans, and boxes. Ginny quickly became popular in the area, and owner Phillip Gonzalez established a cat fund named after her, where residents brought stray animals themselves.
In all, more than 900 cats were saved thanks to Ginny and her foundation, and in 1998 the Westchester Felinology Club named her "Cat of the Year.

During the early 1940s in the time of the WW2, Germans developed a sonic weapon that could send vibrations to the target location 160-600ft (50-200m) and cause the soldiers fatal vibrations.
Further away it caused vertigo and nausea by vibrating the middle ear bones and shaking the cochlear fluid within the inner ear.
On 2nd and 3rd images we see interpretations from the book of Joshua where the Israelites, in 1273 BC, blew on trumpets to make the walls of Jericho to fall down.
Did the God cause the wall to come tumbling down like a deck of cards, or could these people have really developed some kind of advanced sonic weapon like the Germans did?

The King's Wife Who Gave Birth to a Negro Woman
In November 1664, the queen of France and wife of Louis 14, Marie Therese, gave birth to a mulatto daughter. The Sun King (Louis 14) was quite embarrassed by this fact and began to suspect his wife of adultery. The courtiers, wishing to console the monarch, put forward various asexual reasons for the child's "tanning". Louis' personal physician speculated that the queen simply ate too much chocolate, which is why the child was born mulatto. Despite the absurdity of this theory, Louis believed the doctor.

Moving roads of the 19th century
The moving electric sidewalk (street of the future) was presented at exhibitions in 1893 and 1900 in Chicago and Paris. It was 3.5 km long and had 9 stops. Fourteen thousand people could pass on the sidewalk at the same time. The exhibition of 1900 lasted 7 months, and during that time 50 million people were able to ride on the electric road. It was said that such sidewalks would soon be in operation everywhere, but we never got to see them.
I wonder why?
