BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡v0.6.7: Clearer Duplicates, a Sharper Resolve Tool & Pop-ups That Fit Your Screen
BMM v0.6.7
Released July 4th, 2026
Hey everyone! 👋 This one's got another round of polish that makes BMM feel nicer to use every single day — clearer duplicates, a much smoother Resolve tool, and a handful of "ahh, that's better" touches all over. Let's get into it:
🏷️ Duplicates you can actually understand
When a mod you add collides with one you already have, the copy is now named "– IMPORTED DUPLICATE" instead of the cryptic "– Dup 1". No more guessing — it's obvious what happened and exactly which file to review under Duplicates.
🧹 The Resolve tool got a big cleanup (see "duplicate" screenshot above)
This is the star of the release:
- No more scrolling to find the buttons — each card shows its stats in two tidy columns, so Delete and Keep are always right there.
- "Keep Only This" only shows when it's useful — with 3+ copies. With just a pair it was the same as Delete, so it's gone from that view.
- The larger centered pop-up after each decision is gone — the little corner notification is plenty, and it's no longer in the way when you're making your next choice.
- Honest confirmations — Resolve only announces a mod is "no longer a duplicate" when the delete actually succeeded.
💾 Space Saved tells one honest story
The pop-up now shows the two numbers that matter — duplicates removed and your library size — and the Settings breakdown always adds up. Import screens no longer promise savings up front (they appear as you clean up duplicates you discover). New tip in Settings too: a free tool like WizTree can hunt down stray mod .zip files anywhere on your disk. 🔍
✨ Easier on the eyes (and the mouse)
- The window controls (minimize / maximize / close) are about 25% larger — easier to click.
- Every scrollbar now matches your theme color, like the image carousel's slick accent bar.
- Pop-ups auto-fit smaller screens — onboarding no longer needs scrolling.
🎮 A few more goodies
- BeamMP now shows its launcher version in the top-left (e.g. "BeamMP 2.8.0") and in Settings, just like BeamNG always has.
- New Enable button pops up next to Delete when you select mods — enable a whole selection in one click. ⚡
- Clearer wording throughout ("Import mods from BeamNG / BeamMP", a plainer note on Always Copy option in the settings) and connecting a Patreon account that isn't subscribed now says exactly that — with a link to join — instead of a scary "Connection failed."
- Thanks as always for keeping BMM going — this kind of foundation work is exactly what your support allows me to do.

Beam Mod Manager
Beam Mod Manager — Organize Your Mods, Save Disk Space
Organize all of your BeamNG & BeamMP mods in one library, activate mod load-outs in one click, join BeamMP servers easily, and save disk space while eliminating duplicates! Free. Available for Windows 10 & 11.
♻️ Imports that complete themselves
Here’s the quiet magic: an imported Loadout finishes itself over time. Add one of those missing mods to your library later — a week or a month down the road — and it automatically slots back into the Loadout it belongs to. No re-importing, no manual fixing. It just fills itself in.
✍️ Rename in place, delete with a safety net
Two small touches from 0.6.9 that make everyday Loadout management more enjoyable:
- Rename right where you edit — the editor now has an editable name field, so the name and its mods save together in one step. No separate rename dance.
- Deleting asks first — a stray click can’t wipe a set you built anymore; BMM confirms before removing a Loadout. And your mods are never touched — only the Loadout itself goes away.
Fixed a bug one that annoyed me. lol
Creating a new Loadout while another one was active used to secretly copy in all of its mods — so a brand-new “Off-Roading” Loadout could show up already stuffed with your Japanese car meet. That’s fixed: “New Loadout” now starts empty and opens the mod picker, and saving your currently-active set is its own clearly labeled button on the loadout page.
🐛 More fixes & polish
- The entire close (X) button works properly again — on the Settings window and the mod-details panel, the whole button is clickable, not just part of it.
- No more “A” duplicate mix-ups — a short pack file name (like ABC_A.zip) no longer drags every same-prefix pack car into one “likely the same mod” group.
- “Keep Only This” is back — for every duplicate set, pairs included — and “Show” is now the clearer “Show File.”
- The Wall’s “Become a Supporter” button actually opens Patreon now. 😅
- Wording tidy-up — “Loadout” is now spelled consistently across the whole app, “Space Saved” became “Disk Space Savings,” the Connect-with-Patreon copy is clearer, and the duplicate-import notice spells out in bold that nothing was deleted.
As always — none of this exists without you. Loadout sharing especially only means something when there’s a community to share within, and that’s exactly what you’ve all built here. 🧡 In the next update or two I should have the next most requested feature ready!

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 v0.6.8 + v0.6.9: LOADOUT SHARING IS HERE! Now with a dedicated page complete with Icons, Sharing & Self-Completing Imports!
I cooked with this one boys! 😁
Loadouts have been quietly powerful for since launch... but this release finally gives them a proper home, more features, and the one thing I've wanted for them since I started this... The ability to share them with your friends!! You
These two updates landed back-to-back overlap a lot, so I just combined them. 0.6.8 had all the new loadout features and dedicated page and 0.6.9 made that new page actually look the part. Here’s everything in one go:
🏠 A real home for your Loadouts — and now it looks the part
Click “Loadouts” in the sidebar and your setups open as their own page. From 0.6.8, that’s a card for every Loadout with one-click Activate, Edit, Export and Delete, a live mod count, and buttons up top to start a fresh Loadout, save your currently-active set, or import one a friend sent you over Discord. Then 0.6.9 redesigned the whole thing: each Loadout is now a big banner card laid out three across, so the page feels less like a tucked-away list and more like a shelf of your favorite setups.
🖼️ Hero images; Set by default, customizable by you
Every Loadout card now wears a picture. BMM automatically borrows the image from the biggest mod inside it, so your Loadouts look good the second you make them — and you can always swap in your own from any mod in the set. There’s also a new “Loadout details” drop-down on each card that lists every mod in the set alongside its size, so you can see exactly what’s inside at a glance.
🔗 Share your Loadouts with anyone
This is the one I’m most excited about. 🧡 Hit Export on any Loadout and BMM writes a tiny .bmmloadout file — drop it in Discord, send it to a buddy, post it anywhere. They hit Import and their BMM rebuilds the whole set:
- Mods they already own snap right in — matched by actual content, not guesswork.
- Anything they’re missing is listed clearly — shown as “not in your library yet,” each with a link straight to its official BeamNG page so they can go grab it.
- Nothing personal ever travels — the file is just the mod list. No file paths, no account details, nothing about you.
Build the perfect drift night, a themed car meet, or a track-day pack — and hand the whole thing to someone else in one little file.
--Import completion SCREENSHOT COMING SOON--

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 v0.6.10 + v0.6.11: Two quiet updates: A Tougher BMM and a More Polished One.
Released July 8–9, 2026
Between the big Loadouts glow-up and the Backup & Restore update, two smaller releases slipped out back-to-back — the kind that don't make a splash but make everything else feel better. One made BMM tougher against the messy realities of real computers; the other polished the everyday and snuck in a few genuinely nice touches. Quick catch-up on both. 🧰
🛡️ 0.6.10 — Rock-solid reliability
Real computers are messy — antivirus locks a file mid-scan, USB drives nod off, the search indexer grabs something for a split second. This release ensures that you don't lose anything. If you are using a USB stick for your library and unplug it, the library won't go blank but instead simply asks you to reinsert your thumb drive. 😁
Your library survives a flaky moment — if a rescan happens while your Mod Storage folder is briefly unreadable (an AV sweep, an external drive waking up), BMM no longer drops mods or forgets their tags, favorites, and custom images. And if the whole folder is unplugged or comes back empty, BMM leaves your library completely untouched and simply asks you to reconnect it — instead of wiping it.
Loadouts are protected the same way — a Loadout can't be emptied, or lose the info it uses to heal itself, just because your library looked empty for a second.
Sturdier Patreon checks — a background membership re-check and a manual "Re-check" can no longer collide, so a paying supporter can't get briefly bumped down to free — and disconnecting right as a check is running now works cleanly.
Saves that don't give up — if writing your settings or data hits a brief file lock, BMM retries instead of quietly losing the change.
You won't notice most of this day to day — and honestly, that's the whole point. It just quietly makes sure your setup is always there. 🛟
✨ 0.6.11 — Everyday polish (and a few fun bits)
Then a lighter one, all about making the app nicer to live in.
Better-looking Loadout cards — each card's image is taller and framed from the bottom, so the car fills the space instead of getting clipped at the wheels. You can also rename a Loadout right from its card now, with a little pencil button.
Clearer mod lists — click any mod under a Loadout to reveal its size, its author, and a "Show Mod Details" button, all without leaving the page. Each list shows mod authors now, open lists stay open as you browse, and a new "Detailed" checkbox pops open every Loadout's list at once.
A blurred peek at the premium tools 👀 — this one's my favorite little touch. If you're on the free plan and click Conflicts or Duplicates, instead of a flat "this is a premium feature" pop-up, you now see a live, softly-blurred preview of your own results — with a one-click way to unlock. A proper "ooh, what's under there?" moment.
Smarter free-tier unlocking — delete enough Loadouts to get back under the free limit and any locked ones now come back automatically, with the counter always staying accurate. (0.7.0 takes this one step further and actually asks which one you'd like back — but more on that in the next post. 😉)
New ways to follow & support — X, Twitch, Telegram and Ko-Fi links now live at the bottom of the sidebar, plus a Ko-Fi one-time-donation option in the Go Premium window for anyone who'd rather drop a coffee than subscribe on Patreon.
Two quiet ones — but they're the reason the app feels as steady and as sharp as it does heading into the next update with Backup & Restore! Thanks, as always, for being here for the small stuff as well as the big stuff! 🙏

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 v0.7.0: Backup & Restore: Your BMM Profile, Saved and Portable 💾
Released July 9, 2026
I promised some of you this would be here soon! Happy to say that settings & profile backup/restore is here! 🎉
This might be the biggest thing I've added since Loadouts themselves!
Everything you've spent time on while using BeamNG Mod Manager can now be protected! Your Loadouts, your tags and favorites, your notes, even the custom images you've hand-picked for your mods — can now be saved into a single portable file and brought right back. New PC, fresh reinstall, or just peace of mind: your BMM is finally yours to keep.
💾 One file, everything that's "you" — Head to Settings → Backup (or tap "Restore from a backup" right on the welcome screen) and BMM writes a tidy .bmmbackup file with all your personalization inside. Reinstalled Windows? Setting up on a second PC? Restore it and pick up exactly where you left off.
And to be clear about what's in it: it's your personalization, not your mods. The actual mod .zip files aren't bundled in — so no giant files, and nothing personal travels with it either. No folder paths, no account details. Just the parts that make BMM feel like yours! 😊
🛟 It never overwrites what you've already done — This was the one rule I refused to bend on. Restoring onto a BMM you've already been using never deletes or overwrites a thing — if you've re-rated or re-tagged a mod since your backup, your newer local version always wins, and tags simply merge together. Nothing you've set up gets clobbered. Restore with total confidence.
♻️ Restore first, import later and BMM will fill itself in — Here's the quiet magic (Loadouts fans will recognize it): you don't have to import your mods before restoring. Restore onto a brand-new install while your library is still empty, then copy your mods back in whenever you like — and your tags, favorites, images and Loadouts reconnect themselves automatically as each mod lands. No ordering, no fiddling. It just completes itself over time.
🔓 Friendlier Loadout Unlocks — On the free plan, when you delete a Loadout and free up one of your 5 slots, BMM now asks which locked Loadout you'd like back — instead of quietly picking one for you. And any locked Loadout shows an Unlock button the moment a slot opens up. Small thing, but it hands you back the wheel.
🧡 The support buttons got official The Ko-Fi button is now the real, official Ko-Fi badge — matched to whichever theme you're running — and it lives in the sidebar, in Settings, and on the Go Premium screen, with a proper Patreon button alongside it. If you ever feel like dropping a one-time coffee in the jar, it's right there. No pressure, ever — the whole manager stays free.
✨ And a little extra
Loadout cards got a taller hero image, so your setups look even better at a glance.
This release means a lot to me. A mod manager you can't trust with your setup isn't really worth much — so being able to hand you a proper safety net for everything you've built here feels like BMM growing into what I always wanted it to be. As always, none of it happens without you. 🧡

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 v0.7.1 + v0.7.2 + v0.7.3: Three Releases, One Mission: Making BMM Bulletproof
Released July 9–10, 2026
Hey everyone! 👋 Quick heads-up on a rapid-fire trio of releases. No flashy new buttons this time — these three are all about making sure the app never loses, breaks, or mishandles a single byte of your stuff. It's "sleep-better-at-night" work (for you and for me 😄), and it goes deep. Here's the tour:
🏠 v0.7.1 — A tidier home for your data
BMM's data folder now has the proper name: What used to live in the original name I had when I started building this (%APPDATA%\beamng-mod-catalog) now lives in %APPDATA%\BeamNG Mod Manager. The move happens automatically the first time you launch — catalog, loadouts, thumbnails, settings and Patreon connection all come along, and there's nothing you need to do. (Your Mod Storage folder is untouched.)
🛡️ v0.7.2 — Your settings and membership, armored
Startup can't wipe your setup — if antivirus or the Windows search indexer briefly locks a data file right as BMM launches, BMM now retries — and if it still can't read the file, it refuses to overwrite it. A momentary lock can no longer reset your settings or blank your catalog.
Your folders stay YOUR folders — if your BeamNG, BeamMP or mods folder lives on a USB or cloud-synced drive that's momentarily offline, BMM keeps your saved choice instead of quietly retargeting to a different install.
Steadier Patreon connection — sign-in can't be cancelled mid-flow by a stray local request, and membership checks fail on the safe side. (We also fixed a server-side edge case that could have downgraded paying members if we ever slipped on our own configuration — it never happened, and now it can't.)
🔧 v0.7.3 — Hardening across the board
Mod files handled with white gloves — moving a mod between drives now makes sure the copy is fully on disk before the original is removed, and an interrupted activation can never leave a half-written zip in your game folder.
Smarter "likely the same mod" detection — different trims of a car (a GT vs a GTR, say) are no longer lumped together as the same mod.
Honest about broken files — a zip with no files inside now shows up as broken instead of pretending to be a duplicate, and a deliberately malformed zip can no longer crash the library scan.
Loadouts keep their promises — restoring the same backup twice no longer creates "(restored 2)" copies, importing a loadout file reports save problems honestly, and a loadout applied right as mods are being re-imported no longer leaves a just-restored member inactive.
Privacy & security — your Patreon renewal token is now only ever stored under Windows secure storage; quitting with unsent (opt-in, anonymous) usage stats can't make BMM linger in the background; the app runs on the latest Electron security patch; and our online services gained extra protection against abuse.
None of this is glamorous — and that's exactly why it matters. This is the kind of work your support pays for: the app you already trust, made harder to break. With the foundation this solid, the next batch gets to be the fun kind.
Thank you, as always, for making BMM possible. 🙏

Save time and space so you can play more BeamNG.

Beam Mod Manager
Beam Mod Manager — Organize Your Mods, Save Disk Space
Organize all of your BeamNG & BeamMP mods in one library, activate mod load-outs in one click, join BeamMP servers easily, and save disk space while eliminating duplicates! Free. Available for Windows 10 & 11.
BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 v0.7.4: Standing With the Creators Who Make BeamNG better for all of us. 🧡
Released July 10, 2026
This one's a little different. All of these updates have really been only about features, fixes, and changes — this one's about a stance. 🧡
BeamNG is the game we always wanted in no small part because of its mod creators. So much of what we love — the cars, the maps, the tiny details — isn't something even the BeamNG devs can do alone; it comes from creators pouring their time into it, many of them sharing their work through Patreon and places like it. This release is BMM doing its small part to stand with them.
🛡️ Piracy sites don't get ad space in BMM — Some sites scrape creators' paid mods, re-host them for free, and stamp their own branding onto the files. Starting now, BMM quietly strips that branding off any mod as it enters your library — and cleans up mods already sitting in your library on your next rescan. No lectures, no friction: the pirate site's name just… disappears, and the mod keeps working exactly as before. Nothing gets deleted, your loadouts and tags stay put — BMM simply refuses to hand those sites free exposure. And if you're a creator reading this: this one's for you. 🧡
🔒 Safer Patreon sign-in — Connecting your Patreon is sturdier under the hood now. Your account credentials never pass through your web browser at all anymore — only a quick one-time code does, following the same standard the trusted desktop apps use for sign-in (RFC 8252, if you're curious). And if you're already connected? Nothing changes, nothing to redo. It just quietly got safer.
⚡ "Activate" and "Deactivate," everywhere — A small wording change, but a clearer one: the old "Enable/Disable" buttons are now "Activate/Deactivate" across the whole app. It says what BMM actually does — link a mod into your game — so there's never a second of "wait, which one turns it on?"
🧹 A tidier sidebar — Loadout rows in the sidebar are cleaner now: just the name, the mod count, and an Unlock button the moment a slot opens up. Editing, renaming, and deleting all live on the Loadouts page where they belong — so the sidebar stays calm and easy to scan.
✨ And a little extra
The "Go Premium" card over the Conflicts and Duplicates preview is no longer see-through (it was a touch too ghostly). Under the hood, browsing images on picture-heavy mods now sips memory instead of gulping it, and a handful of internal safety checks got unified and locked down with fresh tests — the quiet kind of hardening you'll never notice, which is exactly the point.
This release means a lot to me. BMM has always been about respecting your time and your setup — and this update extends that same respect to the people who make the mods in the first place. None of it happens without you, and none of the modding scene happens without them. 🧡
Update today, and let's keep BeamNG's creators front and center. Much love to all of the BeamNG family! 🤝

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 0.7.5: Expanded Loadout Pages, Patreon Supporter Avatars, and more fixes/changes!
Released July 11, 2026
⭐ Supporter avatars on the Wall of Supporters — the wall now shows your actual Patreon profile picture instead of just initials. A small thing, but I wanted the people who keep BMM rolling to actually be seen. (BMM loads them privately through its own cache — your picture never comes from some sketchy third party.)
🔢 The vanishing Duplicates/Conflicts count is fixed — some of you noticed those numbers would sit at zero right after updating BMM until you toggled between BeamNG and BeamMP. Gone. They're accurate the moment you open the app, every time.
📂 A much nicer Loadouts page:
- Expand any loadout to a full-width view right on the page — every mod it contains at a glance, all its actions in one place. The compact cards stay so you can still compare loadouts side by side.
- Sidebar stays tidy: your first seven loadouts show, with a "Show more" for the rest.
- Clicking a loadout in the sidebar now opens its view instead of instantly swapping your mods — a stray click can't change your whole setup. You activate when you're ready.
- Locked loadouts are far clearer — a lock over the card and an Unlock button right in the corner.
*Fixes coming to make the expanded view play nicer with the other "non-expanded" loadout cards*
Thank you all, genuinely — you're what makes this all possible. More coming soon. 🧡

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 0.7.6 + 0.7.7: v1 of Mod Update Detection is here!
Released July 11, 2026
🔔 New: Mod Update Detection — free for everyone, no premium required. BMM now checks your installed mods against the official BeamNG repository and flags anything with a newer version available, right in a new "Updates" row in the sidebar:
- Each flagged mod shows a quick summary of what changed, plus a one-click "Open official page" to go grab it.
- Runs whenever you hit "Check for updates," plus once automatically at launch (turn that off in Settings if you'd rather trigger it yourself).
- Privacy stays intact: checking only sends the numeric repository IDs of your installed mods to BMM's licensing service, which reads the public mod pages on your behalf. No file names or personal data ever go with it, and no mod files are downloaded — this just tells you when it's time to grab the update yourself.
🔒 Security & Stability Hardening — a few things tightened up under the hood:
- Backup & Restore is locked down tighter: Restoring a backup file is now strictly confined to BMM's own data folder, so a malicious or corrupted backup can't place files anywhere else on your PC. As always, only restore backups from a source you trust.
- Fixed a potential crash: opening a mod's image picker or carousel on a malformed/bugged mod zip could crash BMM. Those are now detected and skipped safely instead.
- Steadier Patreon supporter status: If a status refresh gets interrupted at just the wrong moment, BMM now keeps your saved credentials in sync, so your tier doesn't briefly drop before the next check. If you haven't updated in a little while, I'd genuinely encourage grabbing this one soon — nothing to worry about, just good hygiene to stay current.
Thank you all, genuinely — you're what makes this all possible. More coming to the Update system soon! 😁

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 0.7.8: More Accurate Update Detection, Full-Page Loadouts, and more fixes/changes!
Released July 12, 2026
🎯 Update detection just got a lot more accurate. In some cases, the new Updates list was flagging nearly every mod as needing an update, that's fixed:
- BMM's update checker now matches your installed file against the repository's exact file version instead of leaning on page timestamps — it no longer mistakes recent reviews on a mod's page for a new release. Mods that didn't actually have an update will simply disappear from the Updates page after the update.
- The suggested update now shows its release date too, so a renumbered release (say, a full "1.0.0" landing after a "1.7.2b" beta) reads correctly as the newest version instead of looking like a downgrade.
- New "Ignore for updates": This is for when you have a mod that ships bad version info and you want to ignore it. Hide it from the Updates page right from the selection bar or its Mod Details — one click (Re-include) brings it back whenever you want.
- One-time tip: run a Rescan after this update so your existing library switches over to exact file matching. The Updates page will remind you until you do. Hoping to be able to automate the "rescans" after installing new BMM versions so that it's seamless and you don't have to rescan manually.
📂 Loadouts are now truly full-page:
- Expanding a loadout now takes over the whole page at any window size, opening front-and-center the moment you click it in the sidebar — the compact details list gives way to the full mod grid, with member cards styled in your theme's colors and centered names.
- Activating a loadout now asks you to confirm first, so replacing your active mod set is never an accident.
- A tidier selection bar: "Remove from Loadout" lives right there now, and the redundant "Select all" button is gone (Select All still lives up top).
And here is how the page looks if you have a monitor setup vertically in Portrait mode. 🖼️
More updates coming to how BMM looks and works when using it in Portrait. That's going to take a redesign of how the Top bar and tool bars work but it's definitely something I will figure out and ship asap.
I know many of you love using an upright monitor and BMM is perfect for your extra screens, so I'll make it fit perfect too! Stay tuned for that. ✔️
Thank you as always! I appreciate all of you. 🤝

BeamNG Mod Manager 🧡 0.7.9: Support the Creator on Patreon, a Steadier Supporter Wall, and more fixes/changes!
Released July 13, 2026
🤝 Support the Creator on Patreon — Mods made by Patreon creators now show a direct link right in Mod Details and a small badge on their card, so you can support the people behind the best mods out there. This will show on more and more non-repo/Patreon creators as times goes on as I'm having to wire it up manually since Patreon creator mods usually don't have official BeamNG Repo date.
Shared loadouts carry those links along too, so when sharing your loadouts with friends they will know where to download the mods that they are missing from that shared loadout.
🛡️ The Wall of Supporters is steadier now — if Patreon ever hiccups, the wall keeps showing the last known list instead of going blank. You'll always be seen even when Patreon data bugs out.
🔄 Remember the "run a Rescan" tip from last update? Gone. BMM now runs a quick rescan on its own every time it starts, so your Updates, Duplicates and Conflicts counts are right the moment you open a new version — no extra step.
You can turn all this off in Settings if you'd rather control it yourself, I know some of us like to geek out on the buttons. I for one love any "updates" more than I probably should. lolol. 😅
📂 Loadouts:
- Drag to reorder them right in the sidebar.
- Imported mods you don't have yet now show above the member list instead of getting pushed off-screen.
🔧 Smaller fixes: Mod updates now reliably show their release date, the "you're all up to date" message respects your active filters, and dragging a loadout no longer flashes the "drop mods here" overlay.
Shout out to all the Patreon creators that make all the coolest stuff we could want in BeamNG! 🙏
