[UPDATE] Romania oil refinery EXPLOSION - One DEAD, five injured

The explosion at Romania's largest oil refinery on Friday has KILLED one person and left FIVE in hospital, authorities say - but the fire has been “isolated and stabilized”.

Romania's environment ministry has said specialists “have continuously monitored the volatile organic compounds on the site.”

The Black Sea facility, which lies just 20km from the country’s largest port of Constanta, processed 1.26MN tons of raw materials in this year’s first quarter.
