🔴The deadly Nipah virus from India has begun spreading worldwide.

The first death was recorded in Bangladesh. A woman was hospitalized with fever, confusion, and convulsions. Doctors were unable to save her—she died a week later.

The virus is transmitted from bats and pigs and from human to human. Symptoms include headache, fever, aches and pains, vomiting, and sore throat. In severe cases, it can cause encephalitis and coma.

Infected individuals may also experience seizures and even personality changes. The virus has a mortality rate of up to 75%. There is currently no vaccine.



Scientists believe that Nipah is far more dangerous than COVID-19.
