Dear BAND community, transparency has always been one of our main priorities with the public. Previously, all private investor tokens are stored within the main treasury address held by us. Going forward, to avoid confusion and reduce potential FUD, we will move these tokens into vesting contracts per our original vesting schedule as outlined in https://info.binance.com/en/research/BAND-2019-09-06.html.
Hence, we would like to inform that there will be a transfer of 15 Million BAND tokens tomorrow on December 14th 2019 at 06:00AM UTC time to vesting contracts that follow the vesting schedule. This means no one can withdraw tokens after a specified date and time. These 15 million BAND tokens will NOT be added to the circulating supply until they are vested and moved out of these contracts.
We always operate with complete transparency and would like to reassure our community and BAND holders: this is a planned token distribution, and these tokens cannot be moved out of the wallet before the specified time. You can inspect the code at: https://github.com/bandprotocol/band/blob/master/contracts/contracts/token/VestingWallet.sol. This launch makes us one significant step closer toward our mainnet release and we will be letting this testnet run for a few weeks while we kickstart block validator, exchange, wallet, and other ecosystem player onboarding.
