🔴 MSCI has officially adopted a new framework for assessing “non-operating companies” — businesses whose assets are largely held for investment rather than core business operations. The rule could affect Strategy, Metaplanet, SharpLink, and other crypto treasury companies.

🟡 These include brokers and crypto exchange organizations regulated by Russia’s central bank
🟡 Direct P2P trading between individuals remains permitted during the transition period through June 30, 2027
🟡 Russia is building a crypto market that brings trading into regulated financial infrastructure

Russia is not banning crypto, but it is tightening restrictions on trading outside the regulated system. From mid-2027, direct P2P trading will give way to licensed intermediaries.
