ILLINOIS DELAYS CRYPTO TAX BY 6 MONTHS AFTER WAVE OF CRITICISM

🔈 Illinois has agreed to delay its 0.2% digital asset tax by six months, from Jan. 1 to July 1, 2027, subject to court approval. The lawsuit challenging the tax’s legality will continue.
🖤 Proposed rate: 0.2% on digital asset business activity
🖤 Applies to purchases, sales, transfers, and certain custody services
🖤 Revenue threshold: more than $100,000 in related activity
🖤 Both sides asked the court for a stay while the constitutional challenge proceeds
🖤 The tax has not been canceled — it is only delayed pending a court ruling
⚡️ To put it simply: a $10,000 buy-and-sell round trip could potentially cost an extra $40 in tax, excluding exchange fees and trading profits/losses.

🔥🔥🔥 WEAK NFP NEARLY TAKES AN OCTOBER FED HIKE OFF THE TABLE

🤩 The U.S. September jobs report, released last night, came in much weaker than expected, pushing the probability of a Fed rate hike at the October meeting to very low levels.

📈 Market reaction:
🟡 The probability of an October Fed rate hike dropped sharply to around 16–17%, from roughly 25–28% before the report
🟡 Markets are now leaning toward the Fed holding rates unchanged at the Oct. 27–28 meeting
🟡 Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar came under downward pressure as expectations for further tightening eased

The labor market is cooling, but it has not broken down. The Fed could still keep the door open to a December rate hike if inflation fails to cool.

🚨 NFP IS DONE — THEN OIL REVERSES THE ENTIRE MARKET

🔴 Just about an hour later, oil rebounded nearly 4%, pushing U.S. Treasury yields back up and triggering a broad market reversal.

📉 The reversal:
🛢 Oil bounced sharply after a deep drop, reviving inflation concerns.
💸 U.S. Treasury yields climbed again after briefly cooling.
📈 U.S. stocks gave back nearly all of their early-session gains.
🟢 Gold and Bitcoin also cooled as yields and the U.S. dollar became less weak.

Markets quickly shifted from “the Fed will hold rates” to concerns that rising oil prices could reignite inflation. One hour was enough to erase most of the initial NFP reaction.

⚡️ G7 TO RELEASE 100 MILLION BARRELS OF OIL: FULFILLING AN OLD COMMITMENT, NOT A NEW PLAN

📌 The G7 has agreed to release 100 million barrels of oil over the next four months to complete a commitment first made back in March — this is not a new reserve-release package.
🟡 This is the remaining portion of an existing agreement, not a new measure to push oil prices lower
🟡 The additional supply will be spread over four months, not released into the market all at once
🟡 Oil is still reacting strongly because of concerns over actual supply and geopolitical tensions, not just reserve-release headlines

So the nearly 4% rebound in oil after NFP was not because the G7 “opened a new reserve program,” but because the old commitment was not enough to ease inflation concerns.

🔥🔥🔥 FED’S GOOLSBEE THROWS COLD WATER ON THE POST-NFP RALLY: INFLATION STILL MATTERS MORE

🏙 Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee said that despite the weak September jobs report, the U.S. labor market remains broadly stable and inflation is still the issue the Fed needs to focus on more closely.
🖤 The Fed will not overreact to one month of data
🖤 Goolsbee wants to see more evidence that inflation is moving back toward the 2% target
🖤 Both a rate hike and a hold remain on the table
🖤 He did not rule out any decision at the Fed’s next meeting

➡️ Weak NFP has narrowed the door for an October rate hike, but it has not completely closed it. If inflation stays hot, the Fed still has reasons to maintain a hawkish tone.

🇺🇸 TRUMP: INFLATION COULD HELP THE U.S. REDUCE ITS $40 TRILLION DEBT BURDEN

🇺🇸 President Trump said that a certain level of inflation could help the U.S. deal with its more than $40 trillion debt “very quickly.”

🟣 In theory, inflation reduces the real value of existing debt
🟣 But if inflation pushes Treasury yields higher, the U.S. has to refinance at higher interest rates
🟣 Rising interest costs could wipe out the benefit of having the debt diluted by inflation
🟣 Economic adviser Kevin Hassett said the U.S. does not want to use inflation to reduce debt, but instead is focused on economic growth and controlling the deficit

➡️ Inflation may make old debt look lighter on paper, but if bond yields rise with it, the bill for new borrowing gets bigger.

MIDDLE EAST OIL EXPORTS SURPASS PRE-WAR LEVELS, BUT SHIPS REMAIN UNDER ATTACK

🛢 Crude oil exports from the Middle East exceeded pre-war levels on four of the final seven days of September, despite a series of attacks on ships near the Strait of Hormuz.

According to preliminary data from Kpler:

🖤 Oil exports reached around 19.5–22.5 million barrels per day on September 24 and 27–29
🖤 Above the pre-war average of roughly 18 million barrels per day, before the U.S.–Israeli conflict with Iran began
🖤 The seven-day average through October 1 reached approximately 18.5 million barrels per day
🖤 Including crude oil, refined products, chemicals and other non-gaseous liquids, shipments totaled around 22.4 million barrels per day

➡️ Beyond oil, the number of LNG carriers passing through Hormuz in September also rose to its highest level since February.

🔥🔥🔥 U.S. ECONOMY IN A BIND: THE JOB MARKET IS WEAKENING, BUT INFLATION REMAINS STUBBORN

🇺🇸 The U.S. economy is sending two conflicting signals: the labor market is starting to lose momentum, while inflationary pressures remain high enough to make it difficult for the Fed to shift toward monetary easing.

🖤 June Nonfarm Payrolls rose by just 57,000 jobs
🖤 Significantly below market expectations
🖤 April and May figures were also revised down by a combined 74,000 jobs
🖤 The unemployment rate edged down to 4.2%, but labor force participation also fell to 61.5%

💰 Average hourly earnings still rose by around 3.5% year over year, suggesting that wage pressures have not disappeared entirely.

📈 Markets may therefore remain highly sensitive to CPI, PCE and upcoming jobs reports — as a clearer shift in either employment or inflation could quickly change interest rate expectations.

👨‍💻 BINANCE BRAZIL REQUIRES DISCLOSURES FOR CROSS-BORDER CRYPTO TRANSFERS FROM NOVEMBER 1

🇧🇷 Starting November 1, 2026, Binance users in Brazil who deposit or withdraw crypto involving parties outside Brazil must provide additional transaction information under new rules from the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB).

🟣 Users must disclose the purpose of the transfer and details of the sender/recipient.
🟣 Corporate accounts must also disclose whether the counterparty belongs to the same corporate group.
🟣 Transferring crypto to your own account on a foreign exchange still counts as an international transaction and requires disclosure.
🟣 Transfers between parties residing in Brazil are unaffected.

If the required information is missing, withdrawals cannot be submitted, while deposits from abroad may remain pending until users provide the missing details. In some cases, the assets may be returned to the sender.

❗️ For international transactions involving a counterparty that is not an institution authorized to operate in Brazil’s foreign exchange market, the current limit is $100,000 per transaction.
Binance will also report these transactions to the Central Bank of Brazil each month.
