The US government has imposed "export controls" on Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5, aimed at restricting access for foreign users.

🔴 The main reason is national security concerns, following reports of jailbreaks on the model that raise the risk of misuse.

😕 Anthropic stated they disagree with this decision, but will comply with the government’s legal order by revoking access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all users.

At the same time, Anthropic is also requesting its partners to revoke access to Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 for all users across all regions.

🔥 FED HOLDS RATES STEADY, BUT THIS DOESN’T LOOK “DOVISH” YET

The Fed officially kept interest rates unchanged at 3.50%–3.75%, in line with market expectations.

🖤 However, the key highlight came from the press conference held 30 minutes later.

This was Kevin Warsh’s first FOMC press conference as Fed Chair, and the market quickly picked up one thing:

The Fed is not as “soft” as previously expected.

🟢 Rates kept unchanged
🟢 Decision passed 12-0
⚪️ Inflation remains above the 2% target
⚪️ The Fed mentioned risks from energy prices and Middle East tensions
🔴 Most notably, 9/19 Fed officials now see a possible rate hike in 2026

In other words:

Not hiking rates right now does not mean the Fed is about to cut.

The market had previously expected the Fed to gradually pave the way for a rate-cut cycle, but this time the message leaned more toward:

keeping rates higher for longer, and not ruling out another hike if inflation remains sticky.

🖤 For crypto, this is not exactly a beautiful signal in the short term.
Liquidity has not been eased yet, the USD may remain strong, and risk assets will have to wait for upcoming inflation and jobs data.

Leopold Aschenbrenner, a former OpenAI researcher and the man behind Situational Awareness LP, has just caught the market’s attention after the latest 13F filing showed that his fund is holding about $8.46B in put options targeting AI chip and semiconductor stocks.

Notable positions:

🖤 SMH ETF: ~$2.04B puts
🖤 NVIDIA: ~$1.57B puts
🖤 Oracle: ~$1.07B puts
🖤 Broadcom: ~$1.01B puts

But the story is not as simple as saying he’s bearish on AI.

In fact, Situational Awareness is still long several stocks tied to AI infrastructure, such as Bloom Energy, CoreWeave, SanDisk, and other companies connected to energy and data centers.
