🔊Weekly Market Highlights #124: November 11 - November 17

✨The cryptocurrency market maintained its positive momentum last week following the US presidential election. BTC achieved a historic record for its best single-day growth on November 11. Altcoins also made headlines, with several experiencing significant price surges.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$327B (from ~$2725B to ~$3052B).

✨BTC Reclaims $90K
✅BTC began the week on a strong note, surging from $80K to $85K on Monday and climbing to $88K by Tuesday. Following a brief correction, the cryptocurrency resumed its upward momentum on Wednesday, reaching nearly $94K.

✅Since the US elections, BTC has gained over $25K in value. However, reports soon suggested it had hit a local peak. By Friday morning, BTC began to pull back, dipping below $87K.

✅Despite this, BTC found support and regained momentum over the weekend, rallying past $91K on Saturday. While it dropped below $90K, it has since recovered and is now holding above.

✨Altcoins Keep Gaining Momentum
✅Many altcoins have outperformed BTC over the past week, as seen by BTC's declining dominance. XRP is the most notable example from the top 10 alts, surging by 90% weekly and rising above $1. SOL, TON, and AVAX are the other impressive gainers.

✅The most significant gains from the top 100 alts come from OM (200%), BONK (97%), XLM (90%), PEPE (65%), and FLOKI (43%).

✅The ETH ETF saw a remarkable surge last week after a prolonged period of underperformance, recording total inflows of $534M and a record weekly trading volume exceeding $1.63B. ETH reached its highest level since July at $3,442 before correcting to $3,150 at the time of writing.

✅Total 2 Index (Marketcap excluding BTC) is now at $1188B

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 83 - Extreme Greed, higher than at the beginning of the week (76)

🔊Weekly Market Highlights #125: November 18 - November 24

✨The third week of November 2024 saw a significant surge in BTC prices, accompanied by notable events such as the SEC Chairman announcing his resignation, FTX confirming its payment timeline, MicroStrategy breaking records for BTC purchases, SOL hitting an all-time high, and XRP reaching its highest price in three years.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$327B (from ~$3052B to ~$3336B).

✨BTC Calms to $98K
✅BTC started the business week trading at around $90K but quickly gained momentum, surpassing its all-time high of $93.8K by midweek. This surge was fueled by growing net inflows into spot BTC ETFs in the US.

✅The rally continued, peaking on Friday when BTC came tantalizingly close to $100K, reaching $99.6K on most exchanges. However, despite widespread anticipation and predictions from the community, it fell just short of the milestone. Since then, BTC has pulled back slightly, retracing to $98K.

✅Meanwhile, BTC’s dominance over altcoins has dipped to around 58%, sparking speculation about the possibility of an altcoin season.

✅MicroStrategy recently revealed that it spent $4.6 billion to acquire an additional 51,780 BTC at an average price of $88,627/ BTC. With this latest purchase, Michael Saylor's company has increased its total BTC holdings to 331,200, at an average acquisition price of $49,874 per BTC.

✅The SEC has confirmed that Gary Gensler will step down as Chairman on January 20, 2025, coinciding with Donald Trump's inauguration as President of the United States.

✅FTX has announced that it is nearing the completion of its restructuring process, expected in early 2025, which will pave the way for the commencement of payments to affected investors.

✅SOL solidified its position as a top 3 market asset by surpassing its all-time high of $264 and is currently trading around $252. Similarly, XRP hit a 3-year high of $1.63 and is now trading at approximately $1.45.
