🔊Weekly Market Highlights #122: October 28 - November 3

✨Last week, the crypto market saw a powerful buying surge from BTC ETFs, totaling $2.2B, which pushed BTC to $73.6K, nearing its all-time high. But things gradually changed when the weekend came.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$13B (from ~$2305B to ~$2292B).

✨BTC Slipped Below $68K
✅The business week began strongly for BTC, climbing from $67.5K to over $71.5K on Monday and Tuesday morning. Bulls continued to drive momentum, sending BTC to $73.6K later on Tuesday, just $150 short of a new all-time high. However, the market shifted, and BTC slipped to $72K by Wednesday.

✅The declines continued on Thursday and Friday, with BTC dropping to $68.8K. A quick rebound lifted it to $71.6K, though it faced resistance again.

✅By Saturday, the bears drove BTC back to $68.8K, ultimately reaching a weekly low of $67.5K late Sunday. Since then, BTC has regained some ground, trading around $68.5K.

✨Alts Turn Red
✅The entire altcoin field has turned red on weekly scale, with ETH and BNB dropping by around 3% each. Consequently, ETH now sits below $2,450, while BNB is close to breaking below $560. Similar declines are evident from SOL, XRP, TRX, TON, LINK, and BCH.

✅Even more painful performances come from ADA (-5%), AVAX (-6%). DOT is the biggest loser among the larger-cap alts over the past week

✅More price plummets come from BRETT (-9%), PYTH (-8%), MEW (-8%), ICP (-7.5%), and APT (-7%).

✅Total 2 Index (Marketcap excluding BTC) is now at $890B

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 53 - Neutral, lower than at the beginning of the week (73)

✨The cryptocurrency market surged this past week, with BTC reaching a new record high following news of Donald Trump's 2024 U.S. presidential victory and the Fed’s continued interest rate cuts as anticipated.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$433B (from ~$2292B to ~$2725B).

✨BTC's New ATH
✅The cryptocurrency landscape has transformed dramatically following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. BTC, struggling around $67K on Monday, surged to $75K after his official win.

✅Thursday, the U.S. Fed’s rate cut pushed BTC even higher, reaching approximately $77K. After a brief pause on Saturday, BTC regained momentum, shooting past $79K and approaching $80K. This came amid a week of massive inflows into spot BTC ETFs, with around $2.3 billion invested over the past three days.

✅Now priced at approximately $81K, BTC’s market cap has soared beyond $1.6 trillion.

✨Altseason?
✅The altcoins trailed behind BTC on Wednesday but have performed quite mind-bogglingly in the past few days. On a weekly scale, they paint a beautiful green picture.

✅ADA and SUI have emerged as the top performers from the larger caps, having surged by over ~70% each. ADA’s reasoning is interesting as it involves IOG’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, and the upcoming Trump administration.

✅DOGE tapped a multi-year peak of its own above $0.24 after it more than doubled its price tag in a month. ETH sits close to $3,200 after surging by 30% in the past week. SHIB has gained more than 17% in a week, while BCH, DOT, CRO, APT, KAS, and many others are also members of the double-digit price increase club.
