✨In the second week of September, the cryptocurrency market saw a solid recovery in BTC prices, driven by buying power from BTC ETFs and large institutions.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$107B (from ~$1956B to ~$2063B).

✨BTC Touched $60.5K
✅After last Friday’s correction that drove BTC to $52,5K, BTC recovered some ground during the weekend but went on the offensive hard on Monday, soaring by four grand in 24 hours and briefly exceeding $58K. The mid-week price action was quite volatile, especially after the US CPI numbers came out on Wednesday, and BTC recorded several ups and downs.

✅However, the bulls took control of the market. They initiated another leg up on Friday, which resulted in BTC nearing $60K, and broke it in early Saturday.

✅This came after the trend change in the US spot Bitcoin ETFs, as they turned the tables around with over $400M in net outflows for the past week. Additionally, MicroStrategy announced another massive BTC purchase worth over $1.1B.

✨Alts See Green
✅Most altcoins have followed BTC on the way up. Most top altcoins have posted weekly gains at the time of writing, with KAS leading at 18%, followed by TON at 13% and BNB at 9%. DOGE, SOL, ADA, and AVAX have also seen 3% to 5% increases.

✅Meanwhile, APT, WIF, ARB, HNT, UNI, and XMR posted slight losses over the week.

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 39 - Fear, higher than at the beginning of the week (27)

🔊Weekly Market Highlights #116: September 16 - September 22

✨The FED's highly anticipated rate cut has revived global financial markets, boosting BTC and major altcoins this week as investor optimism returns.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$152B (from ~$2063B to ~$2215B).

✨BTC Stalls at $63K
✅The week started with a price decline that drove BTC from over $60K to under $58K. Mid-week, more volatility was expected when the US Federal Reserve met to discuss lowering the interest rate. Once that meeting occurred and the US central bank cut the rates by 0.5%, BTC went on a rollercoaster with several big moves.

✅However, the bulls prevailed after the fluctuations, pushing the cryptocurrency from under $59,5K to over $64K registered on Friday. It became BTC’s highest price tag in over three weeks.

✅Nevertheless, the asset failed to maintain its run and retraced by just over a grand. Since then, it has been predominantly trading sideways at around $63K. Still, it’s up by 4.6% weekly, pushing its market capitalization to just over $1240B.

✨Top Gainers
✅The top performers from the larger-cap alts have soared by up to 45% in a week.

✅As noted earlier, the week has been positive for most crypto assets. ETH is up 7% and is now close to $2,7K. SOL has seen a similar increase, reaching $147. BNB is up 5.5%, trading above $585, SHIB has risen by 6%, and AVAX has gained nearly 10%, now trading above $27.

✅The top gainers among the larger-cap altcoins are TAO (+47%), SUI (+37%), and APT (+28%). TAO is now at $477, SUI is close to $1.5, and APT is trading at $7.85.

✅Total 2 Index (Marketcap excluding BTC) is now at $915B

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 50 - Neutral, higher than at the beginning of the week (39)
