✨Last week, the world's largest cryptocurrency, BTC, surged significantly, driven by the resurgence of capital flows from spot Bitcoin ETFs. BTC had a notably active trading week, climbing by over $6K and surpassing $67K, its highest price in nearly a month.
✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization increased by ~$167B (from ~$2,248B to ~$2,415B).
✨BTC Calms at $67K
✅Last Friday, BTC retraced to slightly above $60K, but the bulls defended that psychological support level over the weekend. Subsequently, the asset began climbing on Monday, briefly surpassing $63K. However, it retraced to $61,2K on Tuesday ahead of the US CPI announcement for April, only to surge after the release of those figures.
✅Following the announcement, the cryptocurrency gained several thousand dollars, skyrocketing to over $66,5K for the first time since mid-April. Although there was a brief retracement, the bulls resumed their attack in the past couple of days, pushing BTC to nearly $67,5K. Despite a slight retracement since then, BTC continues to trade around $67K. Its market capitalization remains at $1,320B.
✨SOL and LINK Leads the Way
✅On a weekly scale, SOL and LINK have stolen the show. SOL has soared by ~24% and trades at a multi-week high of over $172, while LINK is up by 27% and stands close to $16.9
✅Next on the weekly top gainers' list are AVAX (14%), BCH (13%), UNI (13%), IMX (10%), GRT (12%), NEAR (9%), and ICP (10%).
✅In contrast, TON has declined the most from the larger-cap alts, having lost over 6% of value in the past seven days. BNB and TRX are also slightly in the red.
✅The total crypto market cap is up to $2,415B on CoinMarketCap
✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 70 - Greed, higher than at the beginning of the week (57)

✅Last Sunday, the leading cryptocurrency struggled to maintain its position above $66K, occasionally slipping below that threshold. Monday began similarly but ended with a bang.
✅Amid reports suggesting the potential approval of eight spot Ethereum ETFs by the US SEC that week, BTC surged by over $5K, reaching close to $72K for the first time in six weeks. However, the momentum couldn't be sustained, and the asset began shedding value in the subsequent days.
✅The most significant price drop occurred just hours before the US securities regulator gave the green light to these financial products on Thursday, causing BTC to dip to $66.4K. Nevertheless, it rebounded swiftly, soaring to $69K by Friday.
✨PEPE’s Week
✅Somewhat expected, the above news impacted Ethereum’s native token a lot. ETH went on a roll and shot up from $3,1K to over $3,9K, which became its highest price tag since the start of April. The second-largest crypto also went on a volatile ride amid the SEC’s approval but now stands close to $3,8K after gaining 27% in the past week.

✨The good news is that 'Sell in May' did not happen to the crypto market this time.
✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$41B (from ~$2,593B to ~$2,552B).
✨BTC Around $68K
✅BTC had a solid start to the current week, exploding from under $69K to over $70,5K in hours on Monday. As the bulls prepared for another run, perhaps even challenging the all-time high of $73,8K, the asset’s trajectory reversed and started losing value rapidly.
✅By Tuesday, the cryptocurrency had slumped by more than three grand and was close to breaking below $67K. The volatile price rides kept coming in the following days, including a few attempts to break $70K and a couple of drops to under $67K.
✅The end of the week was much less eventful, and BTC calmed at around $68K. The weekend has been particularly sluggish, as the primary digital asset has failed to make a single big move in either direction and now stands inches above that level.
✨NOT’s Week
✅Most altcoins have mimicked BTC’s performance on a daily basis, meaning that they have failed to produce any significant moves.
✅On weekly performance, the landscape is quite painful for some larger-cap alts like UNI, which has slumped by more than 12% within this timeframe. DOGE is down 7% and has slipped below $0.16. More losses come from BCH, NEAR, ARB, and IMX.

✨The good news is that 'Sell in May' did not happen to the crypto market this time.
✨Over the past week, the crypto market total capitalization decreased by ~$41B (from ~$2,593B to ~$2,552B).
✨BTC Around $68K
✅BTC had a solid start to the current week, exploding from under $69K to over $70,5K in hours on Monday. As the bulls prepared for another run, perhaps even challenging the all-time high of $73,8K, the asset’s trajectory reversed and started losing value rapidly.
✅By Tuesday, the cryptocurrency had slumped by more than three grand and was close to breaking below $67K. The volatile price rides kept coming in the following days, including a few attempts to break $70K and a couple of drops to under $67K.
✅The end of the week was much less eventful, and BTC calmed at around $68K. The weekend has been particularly sluggish, as the primary digital asset has failed to make a single big move in either direction and now stands inches above that level.
✨NOT’s Week
✅Most altcoins have mimicked BTC’s performance on a daily basis, meaning that they have failed to produce any significant moves.
✅On weekly performance, the landscape is quite painful for some larger-cap alts like UNI, which has slumped by more than 12% within this timeframe. DOGE is down 7% and has slipped below $0.16. More losses come from BCH, NEAR, ARB, and IMX.
