🔊Weekly Market Highlights #87: February 26 - March 3

✨Last week saw the cryptocurrency market grow strongly, with BTC jumping more than 26% from Monday to conquer the $64K mark. As a result, investors' attention turned to altcoins as the green color spread throughout the market.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market increased by ~$398B (from ~$1,983B to ~$2,381B) of its total capitalization.

✨BTC's breakthrough
✅BTC closed February with its biggest monthly gain in history as it soared from $42K to $64K before it retraced back to $62K. This past week alone saw a massive surge that drove it from $51K to that high.

✅Thus, BTC only needs $5K to return to the $69K mark that the whole market is waiting for. However, BTC has stalled slightly in the past few days and has been unable to surge past the $63K mark.

✅BTC's market cap stands well above $1.2T, placing it among the top 10 largest financial assets by that metric.

✨Meme Coins' World
✅This week, meme coins are leading the charge, with DOGE surging by 80%, reclaiming its spot among the top 10 digital assets with a price nearing $0.15.

✅DOGE's rival, SHIB, has stolen the spotlight with an impressive 150% weekly surge. BONK also saw a notable 100% jump within the same period. However, these gains pale in comparison to PEPE, FLOKI, and especially WIF.

✅PEPE has soared by 350%, reaching a multi-month high, while FLOKI rejoined the top 100 altcoins with a remarkable 270% surge. Meanwhile, WIF continues to break ATHs, skyrocketing by almost 400% in the past week, now trading close to $1.7.
